The staff is one of the best and kindest I have ever seen, truly honouring the proverbial Turkish hospitality! The roof terrace with complimentary fruits, coffee and tea throughout the day is a joy, especially due to its double stunning view: to the Blue mosque on one side and to the sea on the other side. I don't particularly like... More

Naz Wooden House has a great location with a helpful staff and fantastic views from the breakfast room of the Blue Mosque from one side and the Sea of Marmara as it narrows into the Bosphorus on the other side. You're maybe a six minute walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. It's an easy walk to Topkapi Palace,... More

The listing description was very accurate. Breaksfast was very good. I went on a tour with the travelling agency they work with and left my mobile back at the van and it was returned within 30 minutes after I noticed. Location is very good, especially for those who enjoy walking. The staff was very attentive and solved my inquiries regarding... More

I loved the hotel's wooden façade, it's very close to Hagia Sofia and Sultanahmet mosque so you can walk everywhere. the area is busy, but not as packed as Taksim. There are lots of bars and restaurants, rugs and lamp shops... it's extremely lively and colourful. From the hotel's rooftop you have views to the Bosphorus and the Sultanahmet mosque... More

Kamil and his team were very helpful and welcoming when i arrived. Everything as described on his profile and subsequent clear messages were true to their content. The cave room is lovely, the terrace has great views of the Blue Mosque and also the port. Breakfasts are traditional and nothing missing. The room is located very close to the old... More

We stayed here in November when Istanbul is far quieter and as such got a great deal on the rooms. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and moved us to a bigger room as soon as it became available. A decent breakfast is served every morning from the top floor and with the spectacular views on offer, it's can... More

The Manager Hakan and General Manager Kamil could not have been more helpful with all sorts of requests from which travel agency they recommended to where to get the best local Turkish comfort food! The breakfast was sumptuous and Turkish style with a lovely view through to the Asian side of Istanbul and the busy port on the mouth of... More

Lovely view over istanbul during breakfast but not from the room. We paid extra for the view... Otherwise a nice place with good service. One evening there was no hot water but it was back in the morning :)

The location of this place is about 2 minutes away from the Blue Mosque and a few steps from the doorstep are shops and eating places. I felt safe walking either daytime or night time. The rooms are impeccable - the smell of the bed is very clean, the windows are huge and opens two ways, the airconditioning efficient. There... More

The location was excellent for walking around old city. The breakfast was delicious and and the staff was absolutely excellent as well as helpful for suggestions/directions to anything we wanted to see. The room isn't the largest but it comfortable and was great for our needs

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
