I live in the USA and visit Istanbul every few months for business. I always stay at Hotel Pamphylia..It has a good location, next to Gulhane tram stop and all historical sites. The hotel is very safe and has friendly staff. Rooms are comfortable and breakfast is fresh. more

Upon arrival we were shown a room with a queen size bed that overpower the room. The shower door was falling off. We requested to be moved to another room and were given another room in the front of the hotel. The windows were dirty, the A/C filter was dirty as well and the mini bar refrigerator was filthy. I... more

I stayed at the hotel with 2 of my friends and we had problems from day one. The window in the room was broken; it wouldn't close which was irritating because there was so much noise all the time. The cleaner threw one of my possessions away and when we complained to the manager, the cleaner lied and said I... more

hotel staff is very friendly and kind, special thanks for Mr.Rebi and Mr.Haluk, they helped me a lot! the most important was location, very close to historical places such as Saint Sofia, Blue Mosque, Gülhane Park, Topkapı palace, Grand Bazaar, Cistern Bazilica and other charming places that i visited during 3 days. Also rooms are very comfortable , cozy and... more

On arrival, we were shown a small room, with a double bed, one side against the wall, 2' clearance on other side & foot of bed. We changed rooms before unpacking, to a "slightly" larger room, with a small window, squeaking mattress, non draining shower and non working 15" 90's TV. The staff was friendly, but not enough to balance... more

The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from most major attractions in istanbul, like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar. Tram line is almost on the door step literally a few steps from the hotel. There is a train station (Gulhane which is also quite near the hotel) The hotel is located in a nice and peaceful... more

Location was really good-close to everything. You HAVE to go eat at the owners restaurant....oh my!! (wonderful food and service!!! it was a great way to try a taste of traditional Turkish food). Front desk helped me in finding a traditional Turkish shirt at local store. Would have been more convenient to have wireless in the rooms, not just in... more

Food and room adequate for a couple of days - and hotel is near all the main tourist attractions. The best thing, however, was the helpfulness of the manager, without whom we would not have been able to book our ferry across the Marmara Sea for our onward journey. He phoned and organised this for us, along with the necessary... more

We found the staff to be friendly and caring. The owners are friendly and approachable. They would like to improve the situation there and welcome suggestions from clientele. We found the location to be excellent, with very easy and quick access to the major highlights of the city, the docks and shopping. Our travel agent provided us with a low-cost... more

We stayed at this Hotel for the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The facilities were in line with the price, basic but clean. While the hotel wasn't that flash, the staff and location made up for all of that. It was just below the Topkapi Palace and Aya Sofia, central in the old town. The staff were very helpful and enjoyed... more
