“Very average for the money paid, not 5 star”

Typical old 4 star hotel (although they say 5 star). Cheap furniture, hard bed and old bathroom with shower in bath. Small room. Very expensive bar (drinks more than double of normal prices in the area).

After reading several negative reviews of this hotel, I did not expect very much. We stayed at the Dedeman for one night on arrival in Istanbul and again for the last two nights on our return after a 14 day tour. “Modern but too far from town”

We stayed at the Dedeman on arrival in Turkey and for 2 nights on our return from touring. The first room was on 11th floor, big room, nice view and quiet. The staff was really very friendly. But it is too far away from the next Metro station if you don't want always take a taxi. The bathroom not clean enough. “Suprised me in a good way”

I've stayed there again after 8 years. And the hotel surprised me with its improvement. The location is great. Much better than the ones in Barbaros Boulevard. The lobby is quite nice, staff is friendly and professional. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. I will definetly stay there again.

Don't stay at this hotel, the rooms are very small and smelly, the food is awful & limited, hotel staff don't understand English very well. “Good 5* hotel”

Good 5* hotel, more Turkish emphasis on the style and menus than the international chains. Staff very friendly, professional and welcoming. Situated in a reasonable, business / shopping / residential part of town so maybe not best placed for tourists visiting for a short time.

“Overpriced under serviced”

I had visited the hotel for a congress the rooms are very cramped, unkempt bathrooms are under stocked with basic amenities like dental kit, shaving kit bathrooms plumbing fixtures are old and unclean . There is even no bottled water in rooms in rooms minibar is dirty. Air conditioner thermostat is not working and there is always a stinky smell... More
