I stayed in germir palas for 3 nites and i was there for some business. Its just on the other side of the street where we have the Havas - Airport Shuttle Bus Stop in Taksim !! No need to carry your bags, no need to take a cap and get fooled if you dont know Istanbul.. and the staff... more

My only complaint about the hotel is the high prices for their wine and other drinks - really out of sight and ridiculous. Otherwise it is in a great location by Taskim Square. Stayed at this hotel on 2 occasions. It provides an island of peace in this part of town and the stay was very enjoyable. It feels like staying in an English Gentleman's club. Only downside perhaps are the cost of drinks at the bar and the slightly dull breakfast room in the basement, but otherwise a great place to relax... more

Stayed here as part of a tour following a conference so paid a very reasonable rate. Had just been in hotels in Izmir and then Bursa, and the Germir Palas was greatly superior to those.
