I stayed at the carlton hotel for 3 days and it was good. It is near the metro station as well as the tramway. Food is great but not that variety. We stayed at the 7th floor and i guess all the water pipes system is passing through the room (710) so all night i could hear water flushing. Staff... More

Very clean and proffesional spa and hamam, slippers are offered in each room. And the spa consists of a sauna which is cozy and relaxing. The hamam is clean and soothing. And the service in general is superb. I definitivly recommend this even to visitors who dont stay at this hotell.

Although we arrived at Istanbul far earlier than we expected, we could checked in earlier no more than 45 euro at around 5 am. Breakfast was not bad, but it was not for us. Either way, we are satisfied with services on the whole.

Small and cozy with clean rooms just perfect for tourists. The one restaurant serves fantastic breakfast; a coffee shop and chocolatier are also available at the reception area. The hotel is surrounded with cafes, fashion shops and walking distance to great sites. Staff speak English and work hard to satisfy customers needs. All in all, my stay was pleasant and... More

The hotel has a horrid smell from entrance all the way to the rooms. The breakfast is horrid! The staff do not speak much English at all and are not keen to help. Please beware when you request for a taxi to the airport, they will offer you a hotel car and claim that it is the same price as... More

The staff was helpfull and polite, and the rooms were ok. Had a nice stay, the breakfast was good. The rooms had some signs of "wear and tear" (scratches on the walls, half-broken shower head, aircondition remote was unstable due to battery issues etc). But we kinda expected that cause of the low price we were paying. The Hotel is... More

Nice staff, Very helpful receptionist and Value for the money. Trams are very near and location is great. We are 2 Adults and 3 Children and took triple room which is economy and cost saving. Recommended for family with children with budget stay.

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
