My family stayed at Ambassador for 2 nights in January 2015 upon recommendation by family friend in the USA. Excellent location with short walks to main Istanbul sights & the Sultanahmet Tram. Free private airport pickup by wonderful driver, Bekir. Return to airport cost €25 which is added to room bill. Final bill is actually converted by front desk to... More

I have stayed for 4days in ambassador hotel. And it was great choice. With clean and wide room, breakfast is various and delicious, especially omllette. And all managers are very kind and recommend good dinner restaurant. Also the location is excellant 'cause it is closest to sultanahmet tram station, ayasofia and blue mosque. Location is great and sometimes overly helpful staff too! but all ok, beds not that comfy and we tried two out as room 204 was very noisy from air con units outside window and we got moved. Rooms not that big. Breakfast was good. Afternoon tea and cake also good.

The staff is nice and polite, the rooms are a bit small, but clean. The breakfast is good, served at the top... More

I had a one-night lay over in Istanbul and stayed at The Ambassador for a very competitive price. While it is not as modern as it might look in the published photographs (what hotel is?) this hotel is, on the whole, clean and functional. The velvet curtains in my 5th floor room (two sides of which were windows) seemed a... More

I spent three nights here on an extended stopover. Excellent hotel. An easy 2-3 min walk to the major attractions such as the Hagia Sophia. The breakfast, served on the rooftop terrace, provides a stunning view of the neighbouring Blue Mosque on one side, and the Hagia Sophia on the other side. The breakfast is buffet style and comprehensive -... More

Great base for istanbul. Right by the Sultanahmet sites and in an alley close to Main Street. Safe location, easy access to tram line. Book direct with hotel site to get a free transfer from airport, 25 euro price, which paid going back. Free breakfast was great with special order omelets and pancakes. Lady made me one of both without... More
