The Ambassador Hotel is ideally situated in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul. The main attractions; Topkapi Palace, Haghia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Basilica Cistern are right on your doorstep. If you fancy to walk a little further, you can follow the tram line and walk to the Galata Bridge where you can see the fishermen casting their lines and waiting... More

This is a great little hotel tucked away on a picturesque side street, surrounded by eateries and shops, and a quick walk to the Blue Mosque, St. Sophia and Topkapi. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, offering tea and snacks as soon as you arrive. They are knowledgeable in all tours, restaurants, any information you need. We liked the... More

A small hotel in a perfect location. Everything is literally on your doorstep! I had booked a triple room with 3 single beds for my sister and I along with her adult daughter ,as we'd arranged to meet up in Istanbul for 4 nights. When I arrived ( earlier than planned , due to flight re- schedule ) the room... More

I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Istanbul. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Ersin, who made us feel very welcomed to the hotel. He gave us very good tips on what to do and where to go, and the tea and chocolate were not bad either. The location is excellent and within walking distance of all... More

The hotel was very nice, clean and had an amazing view from the terrace. The staff were very friendly and helpful- shout out to Aziz on late night shift on reception! They were all very accomodating and the afternoon tea was lovely. Great location and service available all day.

We are amazed for the service they provided to their costumers. The receptionist who are always willing to help and the waiters (sorry I forgot their names) who always provides never ending teas and their yummy cakes on the lobby while we were watching TV. Also the breakfast waiter and the lady cook who are most willing to cook on... More

Found this hotel online and booked it. What a wonderful surprise. So quaint but charming. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Anything we needed or asked, they helped us with. Loved Sinan and Sezgit (sp?). They were great. Location in the old city was fabulous. Easy access to restaurants, shopping and transportation. Beautiful rooftop terrace with decadent... More

It is a bit tricky to fint the hotel, but the staff at the restaurants on the street helped the two lost girls before we had the chance to ask for directions. The hotel is perfectly situated with just a few minutes to Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque etc. The breakfast was served at the roof terrace with a beautiful view... More

We stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary. The location was perfect - couldn't have been better! Two minutes' walk from the tram stop and just five minutes from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cistern. (Tip: the entrance is a bit hard to find. Get off the tram at Sultanahmet and cross the road.... More

Great location within easy reach of all the main attractions and the shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and couldn't have been more helpful (without being intrusive). We felt welcomed. The room was a farly tight fit for three of us and it was dimly lit - but who stays in their room when they're in Instanbul? The roof... More
