Overall, an ordinary hotel but great location, helpful staff, and unbeatable view from the roof deck/breakfast area. Rooms are clean, but small (by American standards) and not really noteworthy. Breakfast was nice, but the real reason to book is the view. We had a side room without a great view, but didn't spend but time it in. The roof area... More

A normal hotel which doesn’t acquired a 4 stars rating, the lobby and the room are not as big as it advertised. Also, just beware of the room that you are booking. Only the Deluxe room with balcony will guarantee a view on the ‘Blue Mosque’ while others will only offer you an acute view on the Black Sea or... More

We were booked in here by a Turkish travel agency as part of a "4 star" package and stayed a total of 5 nights at beginning and end of our Turkish trip. The hotel is well appointed with marble and polished wood. The rooms (as a family we were in 3 different ones) were small with barely adequate AC. The... More

Our first time in Istanbul and this hotel was the ideal location to investigate the surrounding area. Staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms pretty amazing in decor - we had room 410 which had great views of the Blue Mosque from its side window. Breakfast on the rooftop restaurant with its stunning views across the city was pretty... More

We really enjoyed this Ottoman style hotel! It is located in an amazing area, 2 minutes walk from the Sultanahmet (Blue Mosque). And if you're lucky enough to get a room with a view, you can get to see something like this (see pictures). Breathtaking! A tram stop that can get you around the city is literally a minute-two walk.... More

The Golden Horn is one of those hotels that seem to be chosen by accident and embedded in the memory for all the right reasons. I stayed here for a couple of nights in June 2014 whilst on a business trip with colleagues. The hotel is lovely, the atrium well decorated and the rooms comfortable (if a little on the... More

Leave the window open if you don't want to miss the Call for Prayer alternating between three neighbouring mosques including the Blue Mosque with a superb view from our "balcony". Sultanahmet is very much the heart of tourism so there is a vast choice of nearby eating places. Note this hotel is of the temperance variety, no alcohol. There is... More

We loved the location, walking distance to most tourist sites, and the views from the room and the restaurant. The breakfast was great with lots of hot and cold choices. We reserved a room with a view and were upgraded to a balcony room on the top floor. We loved sitting on the balcony, enjoying the view and listening to... More
