The only good thing about the hotel is the location only since its close to sultan ahmet and rest of the historical places Standard rooms are small, TV screens very small, as well as the channel list in case you have children there's nothing to watch, closest are very small you don't have space to put your things, bathroom very... Great location right in the middle of old city. Five minutes walk from Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar. Friendly helpful staff and comfortable rooms and very nice bathroom. Top floor balcony with views of Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque and Bosporus. Hotel does not serve alcohol.

Not only with in walking distance of some of the greatest sights to see in Istanbul, but it also looks exquisitely stylish with a superb service to go with it. The rooms are super chic and everyday at 4 they have free coffee and tea with sweets for an hour, for the guests. I highly recommend this hotel, not only... More

This hotel combines its excellent location with a traditional turkish design. Everything in the hotel reminds you of a palace! The staff was very friendly and helpful and the cleaning lady was excellent.

What a beautiful Hotel, right in the heart of Old Town. Walking distance to all the major attractions and restaurants. I had one of the rooms with a balcony (room 605) and the views were spectacular. Room was large and very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. When visiting Istanbul I had always stayed in another smaller boutique hotel, which was... More

Everything about this hotel is great. Great location, well maintained and extremely helpful staff. We were welcomed by smiles every time we entered the hotel. The rooms are well equipped. The decor is very Turkish giving a very royal feel. The breakfast is also very good and the breakfast area has a view of the Blue mosque and the Hagia... More

Excellent views. We were originally in a triple room with no views. We stayed for six days. After three days we were moved to a triple room with fantastic views. I enjoyed my stay. The service was good and staff were friendly. Breakfast room had an amazing view. The location is excellent too. I will return again.

The hotel is in a superb location a few minutes walk from Agia Sofia, the cisterns and Blue Mosque. The harbour is a fifteen minute walk with access to all the ferries and boat trips, and all the other main tourist attractions are also easily within that walking time. If you are using the excellent public transport system, a tram... More

Go for this hotel for its location and if you don't want to spend much time in the room. The hotel and rooms have been done in ornate style, imitating the palaces you would visit in Istanbul. The terrace view during breakfast is breath taking. Most amenities, tourists spots and restaurants are within walking distance. The travel desk is helpful.... More

Honestly my title sums it up. The hotel rooms are lovely but small and the bathrooms are miniscule at best. (However maybe it was just my room). Also, if you are there for business, please heed mine and the advice of others about their internet...it's "faulty" at best. I had a near meltdown as it took me over an hour... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
