We stayed for 3 nights over a weekend here. The room was a generous size - the bathroom small but clean and had a WONDERFUL shower in it. The breakfast room is nice and the breakfast ok. The terrace also lovely with great views. The service for breakfast was a bit Fawlty Towers ... I am not sure the guy... more

Perfect location for sight-seeing, smiling staff, basic rooms but well serviced daily and all queries were met with happy, patient responses. Close to all of the action of busy Sultanahment, a walk to the Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace and a myriad of other Istanbul sites. Breakfast is served on the rooftop and you have gorgeous view of the Bosphorus and... more

If you want to stay in Sultanahmet (near much of the tourist sights), there is no place better than Hotel Nomade. Sure, our room was small and our bathroom was tiny, but it was clean, sunny, and ideally situated. The front desk was helpful, the breakfast spread was delicious and the roof terrace had a great view. Keep in mind... more

This hotel in the Sultanamet area of Istanbul (the historic part of town) was convenient to all the major sites, tucked down a cute cobblestone alley. The rooms have the basics and although the bathroom was tiny, it was functional. The continental breakfast on their rooftop terrace overlooking the city was fantastic and a wonderful way to start the day.... more

I highly recommend this hotel! It is on a cute side street in Sultanahmet district. It's extremely convenient to the major sights, the tram, and plenty of eateries and bars. The hotel itself is stylish and hip. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast is served up on the terrace, which has a lovely view of Bosphorous. Our favorite aspect of... more

We had a lovely two nights at the Hotel Nomade. The location, as everyone else has said, is unbeatable. But the tradeoff for that is the noise. The street noise goes late because of the restaurants across the street. (We slept well, though.) The lobby, stairs, and terrace have a lovely decor. Our room was small and minimally decorated. The... more

A truly little gem and we would recommend it to everyone intending to spend a few days in Istambul. The Nomade hotel is so well situated that we could walk everywhere without ever needing to get on buses. Also, we found the staff most friendly and helpful, (speaking English perfectly too!) . We were on the first floor so the... more

My wife and a friend stayed here for four nights in March 2009 and had a simply wonderful time. Fortunately, we had none of the challenges of other reviewers of this hotel. Our two rooms were small but well laid out and decorated. Bathrooms were tiny but functional (and I loved the oversized 'rainbath' shower head). Most of all, our... more

We really really wanted to like the Nomade. We'd read enthusiastic reviews (including in the NY Times) but the place is past its prime. The location is great (Sultanahmet is a very good place to be your first time in Istanbul) and we expected both the room and bathroom to be small. Unfortunately, the bathroom was so small it was... more

The location of the hotel is fablulous. Right near all the main attractions and great resturants. The bathrooms are outstandingly small. The rooms are okay for sleeping the double bed room is basically one bed that is seperated in half by an inch so if you don't mind sleeping basically in the same bed as the person you are traveling... more
