Hotel is in a walkingdistance from Aksaray station; there was constructionwork going on next to the hotel creating some noise. The room was very clean but needed refurnishing and some paintwork. Breakfast was exellent including local dishes. Staff was very friendly, but didn't speak english very well. The was a fast trams stop (blue line) 100 meters from the hotel,... more

Part of the Gate 1 Tour stay option. Best Western was only a block away. Very difficult in traffic if you're driving, otherwise, on foot has a lot of convenience. Holiday Inn standard from the US point of view. http://cctravelblog.com/2009/01/15/2008-turkey-istanbul-lodging/ more

I stayed at the Kent at the beginning and end of a Gate One tour. I arrived a day early, and found the hotel staff to be professional and pleasant. The room a bit small, but clean. The bath well stocked. My room fronted the mosque next door, and the windows were effective in reducing the calls to prayer to... more

Stayed at the Kent Hotel for 3 nights at the beginning and end of a tour in Nov/Dec, 2008. Hotel was OK overall, although I didn't spend much time there other than sleeping. The two nights at the beginning of the tour were spent in a room with the window opening onto the shaft in the middle of the building.... more

I stayed at the Kent in 1999 and was so impressed with the hotel and the value I received for my money that I decided to stay there again. The hotel is well located (especially convenient to the Grand Bazaar) the public areas are nice and the rooms are clean and the staff is courteous. My experience this time around... more

Stayed here twice at the beginning and end of our Turkey trip. Nice hotel opposite University and three stops on the tram to the Blue Mosque and Aghia Sofia. Very convenient for most tourist attractions. Rooms are small but clean, breakfast more than adequate and the service friendly (except for one of the front desk staff who is a bit... more

We'd specify for a room with a double bed but was given one with two single beds. Whether this was the hotel's mistake of the travl agent's, I do not know. When we spoke to the front-office manager, we were told that there were no rooms with double beds available, and the alternative given to us was to push the... more

Hotel is above average. Clean. Quite. Comfortable. Wonderful location. You could choose a room with sea view. You have main tram lines in front of hotel( lines 38 and 48) . You could reach on foot: Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque for 10-15 min., Grand Bazar 5 min., Mosque of Suleman the Magnificent 10 min., Kumkapi( part of city with... more

I stayed at the Kent Hotel as a part of a flight+hotel package, so I am not sure how much we paid for the hotel, but the whole package was very reasonable. Our room was a triple and had three single beds. Everything was clean and the staff were very helpful - assisting us with all aspects of our visit... more
