This is one of the better hostels that I have ever stayed in. I was here for three nights. As a young female traveling alone, I felt perfectly at ease here. They are fastidious about cleanliness, rooms are simple but comfortable, and the staff is attentive and helpful. Plus you can't beat the location--a 5 minute walk from the Blue... More

I use this ho(s)tel for most of my trips to Istanbul and I have been there now for quite a few times. Hotel stuff is allways very friendly and helpfull. They are fast on e-mail answers. Quite often there are also good prices if you are booking via booking.com. Although I am satisfied with hostel and the location is so... More

The hostel is in the very city centre and close to many landmarks and key locations. There were shops and cafes around. I got to the hostel very easily from airport thanks to the Cordial's direction description. And the hostel just 2 min away from the tram stop. The room was clean and tidy. The staff was super friendly and... More

Staff were friendly and always willing to help. meets the most minimum requirements. don't expect too much. great location. it is very noisy outside but will have to do and if its just for sleeping then you fall asleep after a tiring day anyway.

The gentlemen at Cordial House are some of the finest hosts in Turkey. They give unique travel advice with individual planning help, serve a fantastic traditional breakfast, and provide an invaluable lounge environment for meeting and sharing stories with other travelers. I've made good friends on each visit there. I've stayed at Cordial almost ten memorable times during the last... More

Stayed here on a brief layover in Istanbul. Take the train in from the airport, easy walk to the hotel. Perfect location for walking around the Golden Horn, with plenty of restaurant/eatery options for meals at any time of day or night. Get woken up by the call to prayer and go watch the sunrise over the Bosphorus.

Stayed for 3 nights. The hotel has a very good location, with a tram station right outside, and street food eateries all around the building. The rooms and beds are clean. WiFi is available only in the common areas though...and the breakfast isn't that great. I would rather get out of the hotel early and sample the restaurants outside. Impressed.... More

unlike other hostels in old part of Istanbul this hostel is really clean and quite. I stayed there twice and both stay was smooth. Breakfast place in basement but decorated as modern style and very close to the historical monuments and it is worth to stay there.

Location is good.nearest station is cemberlitas, streetroad peykane, you will spot this signboard.go down the road,it's at your left. I booked 1 double bed room, however it was not reserved actually. They replace with a one 3 single beds room, all for me,fair enough. Bfast not free, around 4 euro. Toilet is okay but hot water is difficult to adjust. It's like calibrated in mm.... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
