I found this hotel on a recommendation of boutique hotels in Istanbul. When I saw a picture of the coloured lamps suspended from the ceiling, I knew, at once that I just had to stay here. My partner and I arrived at the hotel on an early flight at 630am and tried to ask for an early check in. The... More

I have literally stayed in thousands of hotels over the years and this is an absolute gem. It is quirky and stylish with a truly unique atmosphere. Firstly, location. It is perfectly located for all the key tourist attractions. You can easily walk to the ferry terminals and the Bosphorus as well. The most amazing thing about the Kybele is... More

After a hectic day in Istanbul, the Kybele provides you with exquisit food and a calm ambiente. I highly reccomend anyone who visits, to pass by and enjoy the calm and cozyness of the restaurant and hotel.

A fantastic little hotel just 5 minutes from all the big sites in Istanbul. Quirky in its interior with hundreds of old lamps to light the rooms creates and enjoyable experience. Excellent staff in the restaurant as well as behind the reception. Definitely worth the stay.

when you enter the kybele hotel you feel like being in a turkish private house of many years ago. the hotel was infact a family house during the past and has few rooms. the furniture, carpets, curtains are pieces of an antiques shop since the previous owners also owned an antiques shop next to the hotel. the most peculiar things... This hotel has been around for a long time and has been beautifully cared for. Every ceiling has lights hanging that cover the entire ceiling and they are beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are plush and beautiful. The meals are lovely and delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel could not be in... More

4th stay in this eclectic, atmospheric jewel. Location absolutely superb as is the service. Many thanks again to Vefa. If you like clean lines and spacious bathrooms, this will not be your cup of mint tea. The Kybele is crammed full of interesting and precious knick knacks, the rooms are mind-bogglingly ‘busy’ and the bathrooms take some manoeuvring around but... More

We recently spent two nights at the Kybele. On the way to and from Morocco. Great, Quirky hotel. Small and well run. Delicious food. Suberb location. Walking distance from the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and the Basilica Cistern. A short tram ride from the Grand Bazaar.

This is one of my favorite hotels, the staff are lovely, the rooms are cozy and well decorated and I love the yogurt at Breakfast. Vefa is fabulous and try and meet the brothers that originally built and owned the hotel for so many years. I will always come back, it is my favorite.

There were three of us travelling, with two of us sharing a twin and one in a single. What an absolutely brilliant hotel is Kybele!! Quirky, enchanting, jam-packed with character and right in the heart of where we wanted to be. The hotel team were just brilliant! They were friendly, very helpful and had a great sense of humour!
