Hotel Villa Zurich is a really decent hotel in the centre of chaotic Istanbul. The rooms are not big, but clean. The sleeping quality is good. The bathroom is really small, but in my room everything was ok. The hotel is located in a bit hidden area of art quartier. And reading the reviews we've expected the hotel to be... More

Villa Zurich Hotel is a tourist hotel located in bohemian Cihangir district of Istanbul. The location is very good, only a short walk from Taksim square, in a lively quarter with cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself offers no other facilities than the rooms and a roof-top breakfast restaurant. The rooms are equipped with carpets which are dirty and... More

We choose the hotel because of the neighborhood, which is pretty nice and it is pretty good well located. The hotel installations were terrible, the rooms much more smaller that it was said, when we got there and we tried to take a shower the bath tube were losing water making the floor like a swimming pool in addition to... This must be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. It is Noisy, over a music venue, Really dirty, very bad smell in patched up bathroom. Filthy Bedroom carpet needs to be thrown out. Breakfast was an excuse and they know how to charge for VERY VERY POOR service. You are charged on arrival so there is... More

If you are looking an hotel just to sleep that is fine. Everything is an average. I do not know how the double rooms are. The room I stayed was single and there was a window just enough to breath. The room was clean and daily tided up. Breakfast seem that you have many kind though very ordinary. I definitely... More

This hotel was recommended to me by friends who live in Istanbul but have never stayed at the Villa Zurich themselves - ad it turned out to be a very bad choice. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the lively, trendy Cihangir area. Lots of bars, restaurants and small shops - really one of the best areas... More

Cihangir is my favourite district in Istanbul. It has modern hip cafes and bars, combined with all the best of old Istanbul - teashops, small restaurants, quirky local stores etc. And it is only a 10 minute walk to Taksim or 20 minutes to the Golden Horn. Villa Zurich has good basic rooms, though they can be tight, especially the... More

We stayed here as we wanted to stay in Taxim. The location is perfect as its a short walk from shops, restaurants, cafes and public transports. The staff were really nice and very helpful. The rooms we're pretty good - comfy beds. We didn't try the restaurant as we ate out elsewhere every night.

This is a very reasonably priced hotel in an amazing area. The hotel itself is clean, rooms are a good size and the staff are very friendly. Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
