For the value you could probably find a better hotel. The paint on the walls in the room and the corridor was old. The wardrobe was broken. The view from the balcony was nice and the location is great in Taxim square but other than that there was no advantage in staying there. The breakfast did not have alot of... More

Stayed here a few times, both for business and pleasure. Its decent value, and a great location, just off taksim square, and 1 minute to Istiklal st (the Oxford st of Eurpoean Istanbul). Take the Havas bus from the airport to Taksim (9 lira, pay on the bus) and just walk across taksim to find the hotel. Its a little... More

It’s my first visit to turkey; guess it will be the last. I spent 7 days in that hotel. in general all local hotels there have Luxurious lobby of marble .which is nothing but a beautiful front that hides lot of negatives , so my advice to you is to dig deep : ask for breakfast and how clean is... Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
