We had a really wonderful stay at this hotel as a family of four, children aged 7 and 9. The staff were so friendly, helpful and fun and went out of their way to look after us. We all looked forward to the breakfasts where there was a splendid array of fresh fruit, cereals, boiled eggs, cake, cheese, bread and... More

We stayed here as a family of 4 with our daughters aged 8 and 10. We had arranged to meet other friends from the uk and overseas for a reunion in Istanbul. The hotel was fantastic, great location where you could walk everywhere and a really interesting neighbourhood. Really relaxing and very accommodating with brilliant staff. Lots of tips, information... More

You can't beat the location of this hotel - very easy to access the blue mosque etc or Grand Bazaar on foot, but we felt the shabby rooms and unexciting breakfast offerings did not really justify the price.

Thanks for our guest for reviewing the hotel. I would make the comment about breakfast. This is a 3 star hotel and not a 4 or 5 star hotel with big bain marie breakfasts! What we have is healthy and fresh. Here is what our breakfast consists of - fresh breads, fresh burek and french toast made on the premises,... More

We paid around 100 euros per night, tiny room on the second floor, WiFi signal was virtually unusable. The shower floor wasn't sloped towards the drain and water flooded the shower room. And the worst thing was: they had bed bugs!! Simply horrific experience. We got out first thing next morning. Never again.

It is always upsetting to get a review like this! But I am sorry I dont believe there are Bed Bugs - if we had bed bugs we would have had many many other complaints as the hotel has been full for a month and I am sure would have heard from other guests! To my knowledge there has never... More

Ayasofya hotel is most welcoming with helpful staff. The housekeeping is excellent and it's quieter yet ideally situated location superb. Their pricing is reasonable making their product good value without skimping on quality.

i feel like at home staying in this hotel. The lobby is like my own living room, cozy and convenient. Hotel staffs are very nice and helpful. They explain very clear on how to go to some places. Actually this is the first time i travel alone, was afraid in choosing a hotel to stay, but glad that i have... More

Lovely old local hotel, 5 mins walk from Blue Mosque. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and our room was in fact a small suite. Nothing too much trouble. Very good value. Recommended to us and I am pleased to pass that on. Has a roof terrace and bar. Morning call to Mosque is audible……but then it is everywhere in Istanbul. Mehmed... More

We stayed at this hotel in early February, 2014 for three nights. We found it to be excellent value, charming, welcoming and authentic, with an ideal location just minutes' walk from the Blue Mosque and old Istanbul. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There is wifi. A delicious, varied buffet breakfast is included. The friendly and helpful staff organized airport... More

My three children and I stayed at Ayasofya Hotel with my mother and aunty on a family holiday. We had a suite and a twin room which worked very for us. The hotel is located very close to everything that the old city has to offer. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and could not do enough to... More

Stayed with a friend at this wonderful B&B. Mehmed was very helpful for recommending sites to visit, places to eat and various tours. I would highly recommend this hotel for comfort, quiet, location and friendly staff. They even provided my friend with a cake for her birthday!
