We loved the Ayasofya Hotel so much after staying there last June that we made a return visit in early March. We had no idea, but this hotel treats returning guests like royalty. We stayed three nights and were offered a complimentary pick up at the airport and when we got to the hotel we found that we were upgraded... More

We did not stay in the hotel itself, but in an apartment belonging to the hotel, just behind the hotel. It was very nice. The location of the hotel is excellent. Just a few minutes walk from the blue mosque. We had a sea view, and it was very quiet. We slept with our windows open, but there was no... More

We stayed 3 nights in the hotel which has it's own charm. It is a very cozy place where we felt at home (after 10 days in a huge standard international hotel in another country). The staff was very friendly und very supportive. All speak great English. The location is wonderful, very close to the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia.... More

I have stayed at this hotel five times over four years. Staff have always gone over and above board to be helpful, from transfers to getting me change on mention of where I should go for a good rate. It is 3 1/2 stars with 5 star service. Rooms are comfortable and good value and exactly as described, the breakfast... More

My stay at this hotel is what prompted me to write my 1st Trip Advisor review. I have traveled quite a bit in my time, but this experience was like none other. A friends parents recommended this hotel and the reviews all seemed up to par but I'm not sure how my experience could have been so different. The staff... More

I am very sorry this guest had such a bad experience staying with us. Ayasofya is a historic hotel but its bathrooms are all recently refurbished and are not old and disgusting. Some of them are European walk in style because of the shape of the building itself - they are very clean and are checked at each check out... More

The location is great, the neighborhood is beautiful in the old city of Istanbul, but the place is average minus, this is a very small "hostel" with a huge lack of professionalism and they should change the whole staff. We booked a twin room with two separate beds since October 2014 and we were traveling in Feb 2015, and we... More

This guest wrote 13 emails backwards and forwards to our reservation manager Greg, prior to her arrival. There was an initial problem comprehending a twin room configuration for her and her friend. As she wanted to receive a free transfer she booked direct with us rather than through an agency. We of course did a validity check on her credit... More

I have stayed almost whole week at the hotel with my daughter and sister on vacation. Hotel is in an old building, side street from Hypodrome, minute away from Ayasofia. We stayed in a triple room on the top floor. Staff is very friendly and what is an exception in Istanbul, most of them speak very good English. Reception person... More

My husband and I have just stayed at this hotel. The location was fantastic near everything such as the Blue Mosque Hippodrome and we could walk to the Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace. It had lots of character and charm and the staff were obliging, Especially Greg from Australia who helped us with lots of information. The best thing was... More
