The Ayasofya Hotel is a charming old Ottoman house in a great location within walking distance of several of the main attractions in Istanbul. The staff were welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They organised a great package of tours for us and were very helpful in advising us of places to eat and to shop. It... More

This hotel was our starting and finishing point for a 3 week tour of Turkey, organised with Istanbul Stopover Tours. It could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. The Staff were fantastic, and extremely helpful. It is in a very convenient location. The breakfast is generous, and yummy. Our every need was catered for. We would definitely stay here... More

A perfect Hotel for site-seeing, with only a short walk to the major sites. On our return, we were greeted by smiling faces, helpful staff and a wonderful rooftop bar to rest our weary feet and watch the traffic plying its way up and down The Bosphorus. Nothing is too much for the staff, from arranging private boat trips to... More

The hotel is in great location. It's very near (just a 5-10 min walking distance) to the great attractions in Istanbul. You can easily find nearby restaurants, cafes and shops. The neighboorhood is safe. We were out very late and did not encounter any problem. The staff were nice and they really tried to make things easy and comfortable for... More

We loved our stay at Ayasofya Hotel. It's so close to everything in Sultanahmet, but separate enough from the noisy bars and restaurants. The room was lovely, with the charm that hotel chains lack. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Definitely recommended.

Nice location and welcoming staff worked hard to please us. Yet, quite a few problems including poor internet access throughout our week-long stay, lack of hot water every now and then, and on one day lack of water altogether so we had to change rooms after a long argument with staff. Beautiful Istanbul made up for hotel experience. Would not... More

We recently stayed three nights at the Ayasofya. It is an excellent location close to the sights of Sultan Ahmet but relatively quiet and away from the crowds, in a once-poor but now upcoming and perfectly safe neighbourhood with a large number of small hotels. The hotel has a family atmosphere and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly, with... More
