Ayasofya is a small hotel 3 minutes walk from Sultan Ahmet center. It is a value for money hotel. The staff is more than polite and always helpful. Cosi rooms with a traditional touch in an area with interesting architecture. There is a quite terrace where you can enjoy tea, coffee or a beer almost in private. The best characteristic... More

Everything about the hotel is fantastic; it's a short walk to everything you want to visit in the old town; the rooms have so much personality - don't come here if you like bland uniformity; the staff are great - Gaye and Greg are great hosts; we loved the roof-top bar - it has a stunning view and was great... This small hotel would be a more pleasant stay were it not so noisy. Rooms are relatively clean, comfortable, very average in general, with very tiny bathroom (shower/WC combined). Average breakfast but very good location close to Blue Mosque etc. However, walls are extremely thin and every sound made by other guests can be heard throughout the night and early... More

Thanks to our guest for her review. I have checked her booking and see that she had booked a standard room and with a stay of 10 days or so was a long term guest. We have rooms of various shapes and sizes because of the nature of the historic building. Her room was quite a good size and she... More

We had been recommended this Hotel by friends who had stayed. Its a lovely, well run Hotel in a great location. The rooms are nice and cleaned daily, plenty of hot water and the central heating was very effective. The breakfast offerings were really good,I loved the egg Mayo dish. We were made to feel really welcome and at ease, the... More

My Girlfriend and I recently travelled to Istanbul (my second time). Both times I have chosen to stay at Hotel Ayasofya. It's away from the main strip which is great as you don't have the noise from the central city, though it's walking distance to all if the main attractions. Our room was spacious and clean. It was serviced daily... More

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in Oct '14 and we were very happy with the service and the style of this place. The hotel and room were very clean and breakfast was flavorful and enjoyed. Gaye and her staff did go out of their way to make us feel at home in a strange city. You... More

comfortable, clean and inexpensensive hotel resting in the shadow of the blue mosque. Its biggest asset is the staff who leave no stone unturned for their guests. We were on the top floor room with the terrace with sea views(in the distance). Plan to go back there next year

is that it's near all the sights and it's inexpensive. I am a senior so it was hard for me to walk up all the steps after facing steep hills and steps all day. If you like your creature comforts, this is not for you. Wi-Fi hardly worked in the rooms, best in lobby. Breakfasts were OK. Our bathroom was... More

We are disappointed with this 2 point review. This guest has been writing to us since March and we have counted over 12 emails replies. We answered her patiently replying to her question, about her stay, what to do, the complimentary transfer, how to get tickets for the sites, museum passes just about everything. Yes our hotel is located down... More

Small Hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet just 5 min away from the Blue Mosque. The design is a little bit old, but the staff speaks a good english, is very friendly and smiling. We stayed in a small flat at the back-side of the hotel with a great sea-view. Unfortunately the wi-fi in this side of the hotel didn't... More
