I love this place, the owners are on site, talking to guests , checking everything. So great. I got a bit sick (not because of them) while staying there, got looked after so well. Thanks Gaye, Greg, Taric and team.

All the nice items about this hotel has been covered by many before me. I, however would like to add my pennies' worth. Over many years of travel my wife and I have stayed in many many hotels world wide. I guess we have more experience than most as We travelled a lot on business and had the opportunity to... More

This is The worst hotel I've been. Really dirty, unpolite staff, they took me to 3 diferent rooms in 4 days. The Manager doesn't allowed us to complain pretending She didn't understand. Dont come. Esse lugar é horrível.

This lady has obviously had a very bad experience, which is rare for our guests. Perhaps I can tell the story from our side. The family arrived at middnight, which is somewhat disconcerting in the old city. Ayasofya has three locations for various needs. The main hotel, the small apartments in a building two short blocks away, and around the... More

I have no words to describe the experience I had in this hotel. I went with my family, and we booked many weeks before by booking.com. Once we arrived, about Midnight, the recepcionist took our passports and sent us to an apart, two blocs up from the hotel, without our agreement. We had to pick up our luggage, in a... More

This summer I have spent the whole month of June in Turkey and travelled all along the Black Sea coast from Istanbul up to Trabzon. The first six and last four nights of my journey I stayed at the Ayasofya Hotel in Istanbul. Some consider Sultanahmed as a noisy and touristy place - but I can't say that. Just a... More

I visited there twice , once before reading about this amazing place and once after . The first time I visited because it was one of the tourist attraction in turkey , but later on I visited because I found very interesting to visit it to link what I read with what am seeing . The place used to be... More

Friends had recommended this hotel and it lived up to our expectations. Position fabulous, within walking distance of many sites and close to the tram. Great little quiet bar on the terrace to relax at in the early evening. All staff were very helpful but Gaye's knowledge of the area and assistance made our visit memorable.

Our family of four enjoyed staying here very much. Location is great and surroundings seemed relatively quiet. Staff very friendly and breakfast while functional was fresh and tasty. It was refreshing to stay in a hotel with character, where you could feel a little of the history of the old Ottoman house and the neighbourhood. Walking distance of many of... More

My daughter and I very much enjoyed our stay (twice) at Ayasofya. The rooms were very nice and had nice views of the water, and it is very convenient walking to the major sites. Tarik was very helpful in giving advice and helping with transport. We highly recommend Ayasofya and will definitely stay there again when we come back to... More
