I stayed at the Taxim Hill again, since I had enjoyed it so much on my first stay. This time, however, my room was on the 8th floor, which is right below the ballroom. There was a live band playing in the ballroom that night, and I could hear everything. The band played until midnight, and I needed to be... More

The hotel location is unbeatable, right in the center of Taxim Square. Balcony rooms are very entertaining if you don't go out at night. The top-floor Breakfast restaurant needs some renovation, but hold spectacular Bosphor view.

I booked triple room, which in real they did not have, and gave me standard double room with extra bed. it was awful, uncomfortable and too dirty to sit :( when I ask to change room they refused, asked me extra money :( Very very dark atmosphere beginning with the entrance of the building, dark corridors and rooms. The hotel scores on location! Located just outside Taksim square metro station, at the very start of istiklal street, beyoglu! The perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy istanbul. The breakfast has an avid choice of eateries and the view from the dining area is breathtaking! View of Bosphorous and the city is one to fall in love... More

It was suppose to be a 4* stars hotel with great service but it wasn't the case. I arrived to the Taxim Hill Hotel at 10 am after 14 hours in a bus from Cappadocia. I was so exhausted and sick and all I wanted was to rest. I arrived to early I know but I didn't expected what happened.... More

I have spent 4 nights here. Room was clean, nice and quiet even though located next to elevators. Heathing was working properly (I appreciate this much as it was cold outside). The see view over the Istanbul roofs was just perfect. Breakfast started at 7am, but 1 day bread was 15 minutes late... otherwise very nice, good coffee and orange... More

Taxim Hill is located at Taxim square from where you have easy access to everything, Metro station couple of meters and also Pera market. Also you can walk to Galata and Eminonou. The rooms looking to the square have a lot of noise even during the night. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

This hotel has a certain rustic charm that you should appreciate, we booked two nights in their suite and found the room to be tired and in need of basic repairs. The plumbing was not good, and the shower fills up with water after 5 mins. The location was perfect, very convenient, close to shopping, restaurants and nightlife. The staff... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
