Taxim Hill Hotel is very centrally located at Taxim Square in the modern center of Istanbul. It's a short distance to the rich folk live in the walking street and other relevant destination. The access from the street to reception is up a steep staircase. I do not know if this is the only alternative means of access, but for... More

The good thing about this hotel is its location – right on Taksim square and 50 m from metro station. I booked a triple room as it was shown on their website. But what an unpleasant surprise when we arrived with my friends in the hotel – we were given a double room with two normal beds and the third... More

1st impressions negative: the twin beds we had requested were not set up that way - instead 2 mattresses together into a double. Bathroom bin had not been emptied from last guest. Stains on sheets. All problems were subsequently corrected. Hotel was probably once grand and still has great views from both sides, but overall a bit shabby - hotel... More

They are very bad in solving problems! They don't know how to deal nicely with the clients. We reserved a triple room with 3 beds, then before we arrived to Istanbul we sent them an email to make sure about the reservation! Everything was perfect. Once we arrived we had a big surprise! They gave us a small room with... More

Dear Ms. Chirine First of all we thank you for your feedback. Feedbacks are very valuable for us to improve our services and check our guests' happiness. Please kindly note that most of the hotels in Turkey are using rollaway beds for the triple rooms as the third bed. Our hotel's standard rooms are with 2 standard single beds or... More

Jihan was extremly helpful and honesty he is the best recieptionist we have ever met in any hotel. the only 2 bad things about the stay was:... More

My room had a beautiful view and a very comfortable bed. The heated bathroom floor was a nice, unexpected touch as well. The location is perfect. In front of a Metro, funicular, and tram station on the Taksim Square. Right out the door is the start of Istiklal Street. My only complaint (as an American) is that the first floor... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
