We arrived in Istanbul after a 19 hour flight from Perth Australia to be greeted with news that they had upgraded our room and added breakfast in as well. We found our room to be comfortable and clean. The staff were obliging and helpful from the front desk manager to the porters. The breakfast was amazing with a great variety... More

Pros: Good location. Cons: Dangerous pool: A wide hole beside the pool was left uncovered, a man can fall and get severely injured. Unfaithful staff: Through Nuri (a clerk in the hotel whom I paid him) I ordered a convenient Mercedes shuttle to be transported from the hotel to the airport - and I got an old Volkswagen wagon with... We stayed 3 nights in this hotel at the end of our tour and our room had the most amazing view of the city. This hotel is in the new quarter on the edge of Taksim Square where there are plenty of restaurants and hotels. We stayed on a b&b basis. The room itself was very comfortable and adequately large.... The hotel is located in taksim square which is a great advantage, it is near metro and bus station. And one important point that ot is near Istiglal Street which is so awesome at nights. The rooms are so small but clean. Breakfast is delicious.

Located within walking distance from Taksim Square. Not quite friendly to the pocket but considering its strategic location, it is a good choice to stay in Istanbul. Friendly and helpful staffs. And the breakfast served is good too.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Taksim Gonen... The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and we had an amazing view of the city. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, the best breakfast I've ever had! We'll definitely be returning here on our next trip to Istanbul!

The hotel is located 1 minutes from taksim Sq. The staffs were polite but not helpful enough. the Internet speed was good and wifi signal was found every where strongly. The rooms equipped nice . the only Pros is the wall thickness which is very thin. so you can easily hear the voices in other rooms. The breakfast was adequate... More

A decent hotel walking distance from Taksim Sq. It has restaurants and shops close by too. There is an entire lane with a good combo of branded and local shops that is a shoppers delight. Taxi or Taksi as they say in Turkey is available at the square which is convenient. The staff are very helpful. The breakfast has a... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
