We were in crystal hotel in May 2014.The Hotel is located at the excellent area of beyglu near Taksim and Istiklal Street and The Taksim Metro and Taksim Ghezi Park adjacent to it.The Air Conditioning system was worst and not repaired despite many complaints. The satff was also not friendly. The Hotel is not recommended.

Do not waste your money on this hotel. Not more than two stars. Some hostels maybe better than this hotel. There was problem at checkin. During my reside elevators were broke. Room was dirty. Maybe the good point could be the breakfast but its not so voluminous. Totaly I'm not suggest it.

Very dark place, no special services like the other hotels, some staff are not very helpful, poor internet quality , the only positive point is being close to taksim , surely you can find better places with the same rate in the area Not recommended at all

The hotel is by no mean 4 stars. The room was tiny and ugly, no toilitaries, no iron, they did not change the sheets, food was below average, breakfast room was always very crowded and the staff were not trained

I have done a lot of international traveling. This is the worst I have been! I paid for my room for three nights and after 1 night I paid $328 to sleep in a real hotel near it! There is a not of questionable people sleeping here, people on drugs! Staff very rude. AC does not work, elevator does not... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
