Put off a bit by negative reviews which proved entirely unfounded. Perhaps the hotel has been fully refurbished since they were written. Rooms are a bit small and furnished less than luxuriously, but it was all clean, the service was good, the location was great, the spa was fine - though only open from 2 till 10pm - breakfast more... more

Just back from Istanbul...a bit put off by the reviews on the Madison I looked at before travelling, which proved to be unfounded.. I found the Madison very good.... clean rooms, beds and room cleaned thoroughly every day, any requests seen to immediately and cheerfully. The location is excellent, just a 5 minute walk from chaotic Taksim Square in a... more

Sub standard hotel. - the photos on the website are not an accurate representation of the hotel. The lobby was packed with different sofas which make it look like a furniture shop. Unlike the website photos, the rooms are actually pink, green, yellow and red Breakfast is below par. Would especially not advise having dinner there. Even the TV in... more

This hotel is located in Taksim square, north of the old town, therefore a taxi ride away (rates vary from 25-40 lira) depending on the driver! Hotel staff are friendly, amenites are standard, nice pool but very small. Negatives are the noise if your room is next to the lift, also walls are paper thin so you hear people in the... more

I booked this hotel through easyjet and i thought that they might have been reviewing the hotel properly. This is the most horrible hotel I ever slept in. If you like cartoon walls this is your hotel. I was sleeping next to turkish people that used to keep the tv at maximum valume at 4 o'clock at night. Although I... more

The rooms have modern furnishings and good linen service. The bathroom is impeccably clean, with marble counters and a large mirror. I was in a double twin-bed room, not very spacious, but I wasn't looking for a fancy room. There's no view outside the window, but we hardly spent leisure time in the hotel during our Istanbul stay. Overall I... more

The Madison Hotel is in very good location for transport links on taksim square and nightlife and shopping on iskedal cadessi. But the hotel staff are an unfriendly lot. The beds were brick hard, the rooms are noisy. The hotel stafff are not gay friendly. The swimming pool is much smaller than the picture suggests and the use of the... more
