We stayed there for a week while visiting Istanbul. The hotel is located in the down town area (Taksim Square). 3-5 min. walk to restaurants, stores, bars, easy transportations. You can walk around after a long day. They made us wait for about 20 minutes when we got there since other people were checking out and they needed to clean... More

I was here with girlfriend from Odessa,Ukraine. The rooms are average,no view to speak of,the sleep quality was good as no sounds kept you awake. The rooms were quite basic but adequate.I would return to this property.

I stayed there in 2012. Excellent location in Taksim. Rooms were bit small but everything worked well. Breakfast ok but could be better. Service was very good and staff friendly enough. If you stay in this hotel, you must try Al Musafer Indian Restaurant, such a lovely place and delicious cuisine.

We stayed here for a few days at either end of our tour of Turkey. The hotel changed names to the Ramada in between our stays, there was no obvious changes apart from the sign outside the hotel. It is located in a tourist area on the European side close to Taksim Square. Te breakfast buffet offers a fair selection,... More

This is a good 4 star hotel ( US standards 3 star), rooms are nice, maybe not big but comfortable. Good beds, breakfast buffet is okay. Only complaint would probably be housekeeping can do a much better job at cleaning the rooms. Location is pretty nice, within walking distance to restaurants and bars.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
