We have just stayed at Arcadia Blue - 2 stops, first for 2 nights, then off to Gallipoli for 2 days then back to Arcardia Blue for another 5. We had decided to book on the higher floors to get that view - and this we did - it was fantastic in both rooms. There are a couple of things... More

This hotel has a modern design and a wonderful location. Just 1 minute from the Blue Mosque and St. Sophia. The rooms at the top floors enjoy a stunning view of Blue Mosque, St. Sophia and the Bosphorus. We had a room at the 7th floor and we really liked it. Also the rooftop terrace, where they serve breakfast, gives... More

Istanbul is a charming place with world famous mosques, marketplaces, and sort of feels trapped in time. If you'd like a hotel that exudes this same feeling, I'd steer clear of Arcadia Blue. It is very, VERY modern...for example: the lights are motion sensitive and the elevator is a touch screen. I felt like I was jipped in the room... More

Very nice hotel, in the very heart of Istanbul, Sultanahmet district. Everything is 5-10 minutes walk, all the main sights. The view from the room is magnificient, the room itself is very modern and clean. On the top of the hotel you can enjoy breakfast, watching the fantastic scenery of Hagia Sofia and Blue Mask. Staff is friendly. I will... More

We were given room 606 which has one of the best views I have ever seen from a mid-priced hotel. The views from the restaurant were even better, which if you had a lesser room may be a consolation. The hotel is a very short walk from major attractions, the tram, numerous restaurants and bars - in fact it is... More

After 8 nights in Turkey, we decided to "splurge" our final night on an upscale hotel. For not too much more than we paid at other places, we were stunned by what we got in return. Though Hotel Arcadia Blue is not traditional (it's mod though in a non-cheezy way) it was very high class. The rooms were spacious, clean,... More

Perfect location, magnificent views of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia as well as the sea from the dining terrace and upper floor rooms, generous service. Modern hotel with good facilities and quality fitouts. Genuine caring approach offering us a complimentary breakfast following an early morning cruise arrival and daily happy hour distinguish this hotel from many others looking to... More

I love the location. It's so close to the blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, grand bazaar. It's very convenient, near eateries and money changer. I love the view from the room overlooking blue mosque, Hagia Sophia and the sea. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is fit for purpose and clean.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
