We stayed at room 502 and there were so many problems in the room that I needed to take notes in order to remember and to rate and share. The washing basin is so poorly designed that the water splashed all over. The desk light and floor lamp is not working. We have paid for triple room and got a... More

Excellent location, well priced, walking distance from major monuments. Restaurants all around. Service staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms were clean and tidy. After a long day of touring and walking my wife and I would go up to the roof top restaurant/bar and sip our drinks while enjoying the view of the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Sta. Sophia and... More

We had three rooms for our family, all were lovely and clean, very modern. LOVE the views of all the highlights of Sultanahmet. Staff very nice and the location just can't be beat. Wifi a little slow, as was the elevator, but that is very minor. Overall a great place.

The hotel is very pleasant with a nice free breakfast buffet (and the views are spectacular from the breakfast room). It's a 5 to 10 minute walk to everything in the old city, and a $10 cab ride to the new city. The rooms are comfortable (also with great views) and, most important for an American, the air conditioning works... More

The room, view, amenities, and location were great; the one major issue was the staff - one of the clerks continued to harass my wife, asking for photos, and also to go on a date. It made the stay quite uncomfortable .. I would not expect this from a three star hotel!

Loved this hotel, we had a couple of rooms (June 2015). Excellent location in the Sultanahmet mosque area - close to everything (restaurants Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet etc.). Would definitely recommend, the upstairs restaurant has an absolutely stunning view of the whole area, absolutely beautiful. The Front Desk staff were helpful and quick to respond to any queries. Would definitely go... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
