the location is excellent, situated in the old town - about 200 meters to agia sofia. the metro station is 30 meters and the tram is 20 meters. the hotel itself is fantastic, big and clean rooms and a very good breakfast overlooking agia sofia.

We had a 5 night stay at Yasmak Sultan. As during the time of our stay, both my boyfriend and I had our birthdays, I emailed the hotel prior to our arrival to enquire about if we could have breakfast in our room. Yes, of course, was the response. I was absolutely impressed by the very accommodating and welcoming service.... More

We walked everywhere from our hotel. 10 minutes to Hagai Sophia, the blue mosque, the spice Bazaar, the grand Bazaar and there are more restaurants around here than anywhere else. The hotel is in sight of the river so you don't loose your direction which is good for us as we get lost easily. The bridge to Europe is close,... More

This hotel was clean, quiet and well appointed. Dark drapes made sleeping easy.. Beds are a little hard. Great roof top restaurant and breakfast was fantastic with many choices. There is a view of the Bosporus and Hagia Sophia. The reception staff were helpful with everything including advice for private tours etc but you can walk to the main attractions... More

Stayed here for three days end of June. We had a room overlooking the back streets. Very quiet. Bathroom clean and spacious. Great choice of restaurants in the vicinity of hotel. 100 metres to tram. Around the corner from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia etc. Food choices at breakfast time were excellent. We ate once in the Olive Restaurant, very... More

There are only good things I can say about this hotel.  They were very welcoming from the start helping us with the luggage and basic orientation around surrounding areas. Room was small but this was as expected and advertised on their webpage. Still, it was very comfortable and cousy. Breakfast is simply fenomenal. You can try some Turkish cheeses and... More

    Staying in Sultanahmet

    Neighborhood Profile
    Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
