This is overall a nice hotel, but I wouldn't give more than 3 stars. The only thing that's really worth the price is the view from the terrace, where you can see the blue mosque. Otherwise, old-fashioned rooms, very small. The furniture is pretty ugly and the hotel does not offer any extra service to justify the 5 star. On... More

When we arrived at check in they didn't even have our booking in the system despite us showing them a copy of our reservation AND emailing them beforehand to confirm (surprisingly we have never faced this issue when we have used this 3rd party to book holidays on many occasions over the years). The manager at reception (old, grey hair, black... More

Stayed at the Eresin Crown Hotel this time last year. The hotel is close enough to everything and about a fifteen minute walk would be max. The sitting areas in the hotel were super spacious and you could stretch out and have nice rest if you wanted. The breakfast was up with most other hotels that we've stayed in. There is... More

This place looks very unassuming from the street but looks are deceiving in this case. A small reception area and adjacent sitting area hint at what is inshore for guests here. Ancient artefacts are displayed throughout the property. The rooms are quiet small , mostly with twin beds unless an alternative is specifically requested. With a shower over bath arrangement... This is a very nice hotel within walking distance of all the old town sights. The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooftop restaurant was very nice, providing spectacular views of the Sea of Marmara and of Istanbul. Breakfast was nice, good selection, good service, etc. Wifi was free and fast enought.

The location and the price makes this place worth staying at. The breakfast was far beyond my expectations, and the room was of a decent size (this is after an upgrade to a bigger room). Maybe it is a cultural difference, but I'm not sure if the service deserves 5-stars here. It seemed as if the younger staff were more... More

Stayed there for a week for business. Nice hotel in a great location, closed to the city but accessible by car. I got a blue mosque view from my room, so it was a plus. Many restaurants nearby. Short walk to the centre. Rooftop view is amazing. Breakfast is great. Really

The hotel was in the best location to walk and see the major tourist attractions. The rooms were clean but pretty small. The hotel rooftop offers a view of the water. If you're not planning to spend a ton of time at the hotel in your room and can get a good price, this place will work for you. Nothing... More

My husband and I recently went to Turkey for an almost two week trip to celebrate our fifth anniversary and the Eresin Crown was the first hotel we stayed at. It was in an excellent location in the heart of the Sultanahmet district, within walking distance from the Aya Sofya, Blue Mosque (which you have a great view of on... More

We had a citytrip of 3 days with our family to Istanbul. We prefer a small scale hotel and it was quite difficult to find the right one, choice in Istanbul is enormous! Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
