Old house converted to a little hotel, the owners are such a delight always eager to help you or to guide you. If you have a disability though it might be a bit difficult as it has a lot of stairs and the elevator is a bit small. Other than that Its a lovely hotel right next to all the... More

I stayed here 3 nights over the Ramadan weekend and was very happy with this hotel. It's basically just behind the blue mosque. I loved stepping out of the hotel and within 30 seconds being in the heart of the magical old city. The hotel has a rooftop terrace with Sultahnamet breathtaking view and a full bar! The buffet breakfast... More

The place has a beautiful majestic vibe. It honestly has the warmth and love of a house and the privacy and luxury of an excellent hotel. The concierge is always kind and caring, the breakfast has all you could ask for and feels like at home. Wonderfully located, couldn't have asked for a better place. Wonderful small boutique hotel I... More

Like a traditional Ottoman house where you'll love spending some time during your daily activities in this unique city. Different rooms available for hotel's guests at ground level for having a conversation (why not) with the hotel's manager about nice spots around the ancient city or traditional habits in this multi language and multiethnic millenary city. As already said: it... More

Visited last week for a short break, had a deluxe room, which was small but very nice. Fantastic views to be had from the spectacular terrace, and generally lovely atmosphere, with friendly staff and a great location. Will definately visit again, excellent value for money.

One of the best welcome's we've ever had. Very relaxed and pleasant welcome with a drink and lots of helpful information about Istanbul. A small-ish, but delightful room. Amazing breakfast. Very, very central and the roof terrace bar is smashing with great views.

The lady at the front desk had a bit of a british accent and gave me a map as soon as I checked in. She told me where to get sandwiches and was very friendly. Farhad helped me with my luggage and with a taxi the next morning. There are complimentary Turkish Delights in a plate by the fire place.... More

My now husband and I travelled here with his family in May 2014 (this is quite late and it won't let me put that date in). We stayed here on recommendation from a family friend and were so happy with our stay! The hotel is conveniently located just steps from the Hippodrome and the rooftop patio has amazing views of... Ibrahim Pasha is a lovely small hotel located in Sultan Ahmet. Perfectly appointed and decorated, amazing breakfast and lovely staff. Centrally located in Sultan Ahmet enabling you to see the sites on foot. Staff are very helpful. Breakfast plentiful and breakfast area clean and well laid out. Our room was small but perfect. We had everything we needed, clean and... More

We just finished a week in Istanbul. The staff at the Hotel are great. Especially the breakfast and terrace staff. The taxi deal is expensive ( as are some of their restaurant suggestions -- make sure you don't think the price is in lira when it is in Euros), but perhaps useful for visitors who aren't used to traveling in... Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
