We chose the hotel because of its excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. The opposite: incredible service, always polite and professional, excellent breakfast and nice rooms. We stayed 11 nights! I visited Istanbul 6 times, so I guess I should be able to compare: next time I will return here! Highly suggested.

This place is ideally located, in the first row of buildings, less than 50 meters away from the open space where the Byzantine Station used to host Chariot races. So you are in the old city without being cramped in dark narrow alleys, will enjoy the view of Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque in close proximity from the roof top... More

Ibrahim Pasha is a lovely small hotel with wonderful service. Everyone who works at the hotel is friendly and warm and extremely helpful. We had a very pretty room with a balcony and a great view of the blue mosque. We loved our visit to Istanbul - we stayed at the hotel six nights, and had two rooms, one for... More

Though this hotel was hard for our taxi driver to find, we soon discovered that it was extremely convenient to many of Istanbul's prime attractions. It is essentially around the corner and a block away from the Sultanahmet Light Rail station, meters from the Hippodrome, and mere minutes by foot from the Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque, the Haghia Sofia... I have been with my friend for 4 nights, few meters away from the hippodrome, it needs few minutes to reach to the metro in Sultanahmet busy street. I loved the hotel being an old boutique hotel building, the beautiful library with some ottoman interior decor, the staff are very nice and helpful, 4 floors only, i complementary drinks 24... More

The most warm welcoming hotels i have eve visited. This boutique hotel is located in Sultan Ahmet where all the tourist attractions are close by. Once you enter you just feel how cozy and welcoming this place, starting with the entrance lobby where you find a fire place and comfortable sofas and plenty of books, helpful cheerful staff, comfortable room... This place is simply the best hotel you could have for a weekend break to Istanbul. Perfectly situated in the Sultanahmet district with a roof top terrace overlooking the Blue Mosque. The hotel is no more than a few minutes away from all of the best attractions Istanbul has to offer. The interior decor is so tasteful whilst also being... More

This is a lovely small hotel near the hippodrome, which is a great location. Rooms are comfortable with nice bathrooms. The hotel is very generous. You can get coffee, water, etc whenever you want it at no charge which is so nice. I would stay here again.

From the moment you walk through the front door this small boutique hotel, nestled just off the Hippodrome in Istanbul, you will be enchanted by it (it is literally next door to the Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum located on the Hippodrome.). If you want to stay somewhere with real character this is the place for you. From the moment... More

The workers are very friendly. There is also a really really low theft rate at this hotel meaning you should feel ok to leave your valuables in the hotel and not take them with you. The hotel also a variety of different ingredients to make your food out of. It also serves complimentary tea, coffee, and water

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
