My friend and I stayed at the Celal Sultan for 3 nights in July and it made our visit to Istanbul perfect. Nice welcome, gentle staff, especially Kerem took very good care of us. Rooms are very clean and especially although in the heart of the city it's very quiet. Breakfast was nice. The hotel has a beautiful terras with... More

My husband and I stayed at the Celal Sultan for 4 nights in June. I stayed there last year with some students, and was hoping it would be as good as before. It was and the staff are wonderful. The position perfect and everything about it is charming. I love that its smaller and quaint and the breakfasts fantastic. I... More

An inspirational décor, cozily located walking distance to the historic attraction in old Istanbul is Celal. Warm, straight from the heart service is what makes its such a homely experience. Perfect for English speakers. (language can be challenge in Istanbul). Recommend you book all your tours via the hotel. They will personalize your itinerary with quality, trusted service providers. We stayed 5 nights in this charming jewel of a hotel in Sultanahmet Istanbul. It is literally a 3 minute walk from the major sights you will want to see, places you will want to eat at (The not-to-be-missed- Sultanahmet Fish House Restaurant is around the corner), and at the same time up a quiet side street. The room we... More

We were asked if we would mind being taken to another hotel abt 5 mins from this one and would be given "free breakfast and a transfer... More

This hotel is in a perfect location in Istanbul, a few minutes walk to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque. Basilica Cisterns and all the amazing sights of Istanbul. Our room on the third floor had a view of Hagia Sophia which was lit up at night, the room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfasts were excellent and very tempting. The... More

Stayed for 5 days. Outstanding location-quick 1 minute walk to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia not to mention the Cisterne (sp). Not the greatest room but clean comfortable and good service. But it is all about the location-stay in the Sultanehmet section. The rate was good. Breakfast-not bad at all. Definitely go for the breakfast option-important because not much in... More
