The location was fantastic! It was central to all the major attractions. I think this hotel was great deal for the money and perfect for our short stay (3 days). Killer view! Opportunities for improvement: decor is old and outdated, some staff are wonderful while others look annoyed when you ask questions, bed was hard, the restaurant is rarely open,... More

From the moment we arrived until we left, we found this hotel and the staff to be very pleasant and welcoming. A special mention to “Ahmed” on reception who was extremely helpful. We arrived late but Ahmed arranged for a table on the hotel rooftop restaurant. The rooftop bar/restaurant has views of the nearby skyline, including the Hagia Sophia. Dinner... More

Hotel is in a great location. Breakfast is good. Clean rooms. Bathrooms floor is burning somehow which is not good feeling for summer days. It is great for people who have walking issue as it is in short walking to the top sites.

Photos placed on booking sites are better that the hotel is. The rooms are quite small, some furniture is a bit old. The breakfast is average, with a chimical drinks. But it is okay to stay for a few days.

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel on my way to Albania in August 2014 and it was my first visit to Istanbul (and to Turkey, actually) ever. Since I was to arrive late at night, I ordered transfer service from the Ataturk Airport and asked for late check-in (at 2 a.m.). All this was organized perfectly - I was... More

The hotel is refurbished Turkish blend and the rooms are quite basic and if you ask for one off the road they can be quite quiet. The staff is friendly and try to be helpful i is my second time there, the location is great starting point to main tourist attractions and huge variety of restaurants. They redid their rooftop... This hotel has every thing going for it. It is in an excellent location in the old city, the rooms were roomy and clean. The staff excellent. The breakfast was one of the best we experienced in two months of overseas travel. On arrival the receptionist organised a free taxi to take us to dinner at a fabulous Fish Restaurant.... More

We booked this hotel through an agency after our last trip here was marred by a dreadful hotel experience. We were not disappointed! It is clean and charming. Lovely breakfast and the rooftop terrace overlooking the Sofia Hagia is very relaxing. The barman Suleiman was very friendly and efficient. They organised a tour for us and swapped days when my... My friend and I stayed at the Celal Sultan for 3 nights in July and it made our visit to Istanbul perfect. Nice welcome, gentle staff, especially Kerem took very good care of us. Rooms are very clean and especially although in the heart of the city it's very quiet. Breakfast was nice. The hotel has a beautiful terras with... More
