First time back in Istanbul since 1988 and having trawled TA I decided that The Dersaadet would meet our needs for our four night city break. We arrived late in the afternoon and were welcomed by Samet on reception. Whilst filling out the check in forms in the beautifully decorated foyer Murat brought us some apple tea and some Turkish... Have just returned from a long weekend in Istanbul and a fantastic stay in the Dersadet where nothing was too much trouble, the staff were friendly and the view over the Marmara where the dolphins played everyday was perfect. Can't recommend this highly enough with particular thanks to Yilmaz and Murat. Excellent location a short walk from many of the... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Dersaadet for a week in March. We were a family of 3 and stayed in corner suite. Morning breakfast on the rooftop terrace was great way to start day. Location was superb. Right close to Blue Mosque. Staff was incredibly friendly.

The Dersadet is the antidote to anonymous corporate hotels! The situation: right next to the Blue Mosque is practically perfect, and the small friendly hotel with helpful staff is great. Based in a traditional building the hotel feels snug and homely. The bed rooms are traditional which may not suit everyone, as they may seem a little old fashioned. The... More

It was a lovely experience staying at the Dersaadet Hotel. We booked an airport transfer and they were there waiting. We arrived early in the morning and they invited us to have breakfast on the rooftop. The breakfasts had a nice selection of breads, jams, yoghurt, eggs etc. It was warm enough in the sun to sit outside and eat,... More

Everything was perfectly arranged. The hotel taxi was at the airport waiting for us. Arriving at the hotel, where the most friendly staff does everything was explained in perfect English and nothing was too much. The rooms are very nice and very clean. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and with views over the Bosphorus with very friendly... More

A comfortable and memorable boutique hotel. Everyone was warm, hospitable and helpful in every way possible... a home away from home. We always looked forward to returning after a long day out in the city. Especially liked the dedicated concierge at breakfast to expedite tours and tickets for us and to answer our questions, and a welcoming rooftop terrace to... More

We stayed at the Dersaadet Hotel March 17-21, 2014, and everything was lovely. We had arranged for airport transfer to the hotel, and even though our flight arrived almost 4 hours late we found our driver waiting for us, and were greeted on check-in with hot apple tea and turkish delight. The staff were very helpful and kind, everyone spoke... More

This is my favourite hotel in Istanbul. If you want to stay in the heart of the old city and be close to fine architecture and museums then this is the place for you. The rooms are clean, comfortable and cool (which is important in the summer). The showers are great as is the rooftop terrace for breakfast. I wouldn't... More
