Booked based on the positive trip advisor reviews for a quick 2 night visit with my father in law. All that others have said is true. Great location to main tourist attractions/museums/tram (5 minute walk to blue mosque). PS If you plan to use the tram/metro at all to check out other parts of the city, would highly recommend you... Upon arrival we were served hot apple tea in a glass, a most refreshing touch to a terrific stay. The rooms are charming, the staff efficient and very accommodating. Breakfast is on the top floor, with a panoramic view of the sea. And coffee par excellent. Located on a quiet street, we could walk to all the sites. We would... More

Everything is excellent: lovely reception, elegant tasteful decor, fabulous view of the sea during delicious breakfast on the rooftop, perfect location.... My mother and I were delighted and plan to return. A large person may find the shower area a little small, but for us is was cozy, perfect. A pleasant walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, and... More

I can't imagine a nicer place to stay in Istanbul. This hotel is one of the old wooden houses near the Blue Mosque, beautifully converted to retain all the charm but offer modern conveniences at the same time. The service was superb, and a special mention must go to the breakfast on the roof terrace - Turkish specialities alongside western... More

Friendly and helpful staff. Great views from the roof top cafe and convenient location for the heart of the old city. Good value for money. We stayed in the room with the hamman style bathroom and it was great to enjoy this privately as well as later in one of the traditonal hammams.

We loved this glamourous little Turkish hotel from the moment we arrived with apple tea and turkish delight served in the reception. Excellent staff who are always helpful and good for advice. Great location with everything in walking distance. Fantastic view from the breakfast roof terrace and everything was beautiful and clean. Definitely recommend and hope to revisit.

The hotel is in a perfect location to visit all the major sites in the Sultanahmet district. But what makes this hotel really special is the wonderful staff! From the minute we arrived to our last morning we were treated like family. They went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. I would not hesitate to recommend... More

Great little hotel in the old sultanahmet area. 300 meters from the Blue Mosque. Wonderful staff, clean room and nice breakfasts. Good location to start the day. Walking distance to many sites including the Grand Bazaar. I would definitely stay again.

Our family of 6 had a great time at this hotel, great service, great location, awesome staff. The view from the terrace where we had breakfast and drinks at night was incredible. The staff help us to pick up the right sights and activities for us.

Staying in this hotel makes my trip in Istanbul perfect. All the staff are very nice and helpful. The hotel is just 5 minutes away from Blue Mosque. It is very easy to get around. The room is Ottoman style and is very beautiful. Something I have to mention is the restaurant of the hotel. It is such a pleasure... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
