Stayed at Hotel Nena for 5 nights w/ my husband. Requested a queen size bed, which was granted. Room was on the first floor. We didn't get much sleep that first night. Besides for the hard matress, the walls are quite thin. We heard our neighbors talking for hours. We called the reception and complained and they then called our... More

We stayed at Hotel Nena for 5 nights and there was no comparison with the other hotels we stayed in during our 11 night stay in Istanbul (Holiday Inn 5 nights, Zeynep Sultan 1 night). Location, staff, breakfast and room/bathroom size and cleanliness were above the other two hotels. Only negative about it was they need to invest in some... More

We stayed here for four nights from October 5-9, 2006, during Ramadan. We were in room #405. King size bed, modern bath and a small balcony (no view). Pros: Great location. A short walk to the tram, grand bazaar, blue mosque, etc. With the A/C turned on, you could not hear the tram nor the 5am prayer. Others we spoke... More

Hotel Nena is very spruce and well-located. The rooms are small but are in tip-top shape, and quite clean (including the bathrooms). The booking process was very easy, with additional discounts available for advance bookings and payment in cash. There's also a free breakfast on a lovely terrace overlooking Sultanahmet. The hotel is ideally located in Sultanahmet-- on a quiet... More

Just got back from our honeymoon in Paris, Athens, Santorini Greek Isles & Istanbul. Nena was the best value of all our stops. The staff provided 5 star service. Deluxe room #401 provided picturesque view of the Blue Mosque - awesome! Be advised, this is a boutique hotel in Turkey, don't expect a Four Seasons or Ritz type hotel like... More

I had the most wonderful stay at the Hotel Nena, and I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Istanbul. I read the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor before going, and very much agree that the Hotel Nena is a great place to stay. The rooms, though small, are very clean. But most of all, the staff are the friendliest... More

I booked this hotel based on the amazing reviews on tripadvisor. I am now learning to take such reviews with a pinch of salt. Being a critic, and with high standards and expectations, I thought this hotel was no more then ok. For a tourist hotel - it was at least what I would expect for what I paid, but... More

When we had to make a very last minute trip to Istanbul, we asked a travel agent in Istanbul to find us a hotel in Sultanhamet so we could see as much of the old city as possible in 2.5 days. We were booked at the Nena Hotel and it could not have been better. The rooftop restaurant is lovely,... More

My mother and I stayed in Hotel Nena for 4nights in August '06. The location is fantastic, the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and the rooms were both attractive and spotless. We were upgraded to a suite with a view of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofya. To top it off, breakfast was served on the roof terrace... More
