Very friendly receptionists and wait staff, room comfortable enough. Spent a whole week here. Terrace with great view not open till April, a disappointment. Also no exciting breakfast items, so didn't bother. Turkish coffee available.

We booked the Sarnic after a recommendation from friends, and extensive on-line research. We were coming from long working hours in the Far East, and facing a long day's flight to Istanbul, so we wanted to be close to the historic section of Old Town, with the ease of walking to a large number of sites, but also have someplace... Istanbul is a great city and this hotel is in an almost unbeatable location to explore it from. Unfortunately there are some points that let it down slightly. The good parts first: we were given a reasonably large room and it's pretty comfortable. Breakfast was included and there's a decent selection in a pleasant room. The location is the real... More

Family of 4 travelling with Booking for 2 rooms made about a month in advance. On arrival we were supplied with two rooms on different floors. The windows can not be locked and one room was on the ground floor. One room was large and one was tiny. The shower in one room did not work and regardless of requests... More

The positives: 1. Excellent location - close to the Hippodrome, the Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque 2. Some of the staff were friendly (and I have to say most Turkish are really friendly and warm people), but I saw a couple of others argumentative and rude with some customers. Negatives: 1. As many of the reviewers point out, its... More

We stayed in this hotel on 15 Dec for few days. The location of this hotel was very near to Arasta Bazaar, and other souvenir shops in front of the hotel. The ATM machine and baklava shop were on the same road, very convenient. The room was comfortable with tv and wifi. We got great help from the Sarnic hotel to... More

Located just a walking distance from the mot important attractions in the old city. Wonderful view of the Blue Mosque and bay. Very helpful staff. I changed the room after the first one had some problems with pipes. Breakfast is good.

Fabulous location, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, BUT, the Sarnic Hotel, although it shares a reception and staff with the Sarnic PREMIER Hotel, is not the Sarnic Premier. The difference? The Sarnic doesn't have a lift, the Sarnic Premier does. We (OAPs) were given a room on the 4th floor, and after a difficult climb requested a move to the... More
