The hotel is near one of the entrence of the city, good location, close to Arasta Bazaar on the of the Sultanahmet square, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, it is just few minutes far from the historical sites, Very nice breakfast, clean, friendly staff, smiling faced people. Recommend to Everyone.

Visited this place in Nov 2015 with a group of friends. On their website they say they have roof top restaurant, they fail to mention that it closed down ages ago. The food was terrible and very limited options on the buffet. We practically lived on rolls/butter/jam otherwise everything else was either raw veggies or something totally unknown. Option of... I love Sarnic and have stayed there several times. The original property is an old Ottoman mansion which I find charming. Some rooms on the top have been renovated and they are lovely, the remaining rooms are pretty beat up but are still fairly well kept for the traffic. Housekeeping does a great job. Linens and bedding are always clean.... More

When I booked this hotel for 3 nights at the end of a tour,I mentioned this was a trip for my wife's birthday.I was told we would be given a special room with a fruit basket and bottle of wine. When we arrived,we were met by a very friendly young man on the desk by the name of Jon,and a very... My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights in September 15 preceding a cruise. We had booked the hotel through the cruise company believing it would be of a quality matching the cruise. We arrived late in the evening by taxi and immediately felt disappointed by the outside look of the hotel. There were steep steps to... More

The Sarnic Hotel is an absolutely charming hotel in the historic district of Sultanahmet with, perhaps, the most helpful and delightful staff I've ever encountered. The hotel is within walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Underground Cistern--even the Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace if you enjoy walking a bit--and the manager, Mehmet Emen, and his marvelous staff will... Location is very good, but rooms are not. Rooms facing the street are noisy due to some bar/restaurant in front. Staff is very courteous. If you are willing to pay for the location and will spend most of the day outside, it might work.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
