This hotel was the perfect choice for our trip to Istanbul. All of the hotel employees were exceptional. They were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. They treated our group like family.

I was only for one night. Loction is near the Blue Mosque and Horse square in Sultanhamet. About 15 min walk to Grand Bazar. Very easy to take train to spice bazar. There is not good view, but from the resturant we could see the Blue Mosque. Good hotel for the price.

Really an enjoyable experience, well located and complemented by efficient and friendly staff always willing to go the extra mile. Would definitely recommend it as a base for the exploration of Istanbul many attractions.

A 3star hotel with 5star staff that helped us from the day we got there till the day we left. It is walking distance to the blue mosque which was very helpful for the older ladys that went with us. Food was fantastic and there was plenty to do. Very clean rooms have no complaints at all. 10 out of... More

If your looking for 5 star this isn't for you but that said I highly recommend it. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful with all requests. The rooms are clean, well presented and yes a little tired but for the price are great value. Located just a short stroll up the main street to most of the major attractions,... More

The Sarnic hotel is slightly old and tired but very charming and with very lovely staff who really made us feel welcome. The first night we arrived the receptionist said we had a small room for the the first night and then she would move us to a bigger room higher up. The first room we were given was a... More

This hotel was part of a relatively low-cost cruise package, and a pleasant surprise. The best thing about this hotel is the location. From the rooftop terrace the Blue Mosque is almost in your face. Walking distance to the Grand Bazaar etc. The staff were really helpful, our initial room opened onto an internal space and we asked to be... More

Great location, good breakfast, decent price, clean rooms and friendly staff...however, the pictures posted on the website where I booked did not accurately depict the rooms. They are extremely small, with windows looking onto a stone wall two feet from your face. It gets no air whatsoever but plenty of noise from the 5am call to prayer. The shower has... More

Our stay at Sarnic was a solid 7.5\10. Here is a breakdown: Pros: - great staff! made new friends! very helpful and always available for whatever you need. -location is superb.. just a short stroll (2 mins) to hippodrome and Blue Mosque.* there is a steep hill however, which used to leave me huffing and puffing the first few days... Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
