The hotel is located only a mere 5 or so minutes away from the Blue Mosque and the main part of Sultanahment, making it an incredible location to easily visit all the exciting landmarks and eat out with ease. The rooms are small and a bit dark, even with all the lighting on. Some of the decor seemed to be... More

Having been directed by Trip Advisor I have just read the hotel`s response to my review. The whole manner of it reflects the unpleasant attitude we experienced at this hotel. With relation to the points they made, we were a party of two adults, a toddler and a baby. Why would we need or want two rooms? Nor did we... More

Clean and basic, good location to walk to major attractions. Lovely breakfast terrace with views of the sea. Breakfast ladies and reception star Murat were very helpful and friendly, thanks:) Not a fancy place but I thought it was a great value for the rate we paid, especially if you are planning to explore the sights most of the day.

This was an interesting place to stay as it was very central to all the attractions such as the Blue Mosque, Aghia Sophia, etc. All these are within walking distance. The rooms are not large as the hotel has been made from an old Ottoman mansion. Although it was clean and comfortable some aspects could have been improved, e.g. broken... More

We stayed in November 2014, for 8 nights. Booked off of hotwire dot com and were plesantly surprised. The hotel is walking distance to all major attractions in Istanbul. Rooftop patio has amazing views! Breakfast was included and had many options, though it was nothing to rave about. Rooms were comfortable, but nothing fancy. Highly recommend a visit to Istanbul,... Artefes is located near The Blue Mosque. Friendly staff and good breakfast buffet. Reasonable price. The rooms are not very big though. The hotel offers one way free airport transfer, however make sure you book room(s) directly on the hotels homepage. We thought we did as we were recommended this hotel and therefor didn't did hotel search. However, upon arrival... More

Good hotel in sultanhamet district. My wife, I and my daughter stayed here for 3 nights. The breakfast was excellent and the room was clean. When we ask them to change our room(for extra bed for our daughter) they did it immediately. kind and helpful staff. You can walk to blue mosque and some attractive places. The flat roof has... This a great little hotel near the major landmarks in Sultanahmet district. We were quite pleased to be able to walk to all areas of interest; Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace etc. It isn't right in the busy area with all the little tourist shops and restaurants but rather in a quite location minutes from Blue Mosque.... My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in total. We had no problems with anything at the hotel, everything worked as it should, shower and hot water was great and the wifi worked in our rooms! The staff were always willing to help us book day tours and point is in the right direction. The hotel is a... More

Good Location in the heart of the touristic area. Nice roof cafe view and good breakfast. Clean room and comfortable beds. Budget hotel for couples. Availability of HAMMAM is an option with good offers.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
