Hotel was very nice and staff was friendly. From the roof you can see Blue Mosque and the sea. There is also many small and nice restaurants nearby. Several attractions are within walking distance. We liked the hotel's layout and the fact that the hotel also has a gym and a sauna.

Close to all the major sights in Old town, with great view of Blue mosque from terrace. Terrace is a good place to take the buffet breakfast which we enjoyed. Room was a bit small, but we arrived in early hours of morning so didn't request a change. 2 lights in room weren't working & despite bringing it to management... More

We stayed at the Artefes and found it to be a delightful little "boutique" hotel. It's location in the Sultanahmet area (the old section) is perfect. A short walk and one is at the Hippodrome - Sultanahmet Square. From there, you can easily walk to all the major sites - the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia. Topkapi Palace etc. The hotel... More

have stayed her multiple times over the past few years. the place has had new management I think, and it shows. still a good hotel with good breakfast, good location, and good rooftop terrace for views. negative changes though. metro contstruction site on the seaside gives noise and glaring lights on the rooftop terrace shattering the ambience. the construction is... Location is one of the best in Istanbul, located near the sea, so from the top there is a nice view. The room is clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast is excellent. Next time, when I come back in town, definitely I will choose Artefes Hotel again.

I recently stayed at the Artefes in Istanbul and I had an excellent time. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome. My husband and I had a comfortable stay. This was a second time that I have stayed at Artefes. The breakfast is excellent and the view from the 4th Floor is great.... More

Location is great. Walking distance to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace. Close to the Tram to go farther as well. The hotel staff is helpful when you ask for helps. Though they are not as friendly, meaning that they would not volunteer them. They have free airport transfer coming in, but would charge 10 euro for two... More

Location is one of the best to access all of Sultanhmet sites. Safe area and relatively quiet neighborhood (in terms of traffic). Street side rooms are more noisy than the other side - but usually fine after 11pm. Staff are very hospital and helpful. Only real negative was very minor - need more light in the rooms and an extra... More

Really good position for our first time in Istanbul , looks quite nice from outside otoman style, inside nothing special..The rooms are not isolated you can hear your neighbor. The terrace on the roof top was nice with a nice view over the sea and the Blue Mosque we took the breakfast there .Breakfast was basic, not bad. The staff... More

Good points first. Lovely staff, especially the kitchen staff. Most of the reception people were very helpful and accommodating, especially Genna (pronounced Kenna). Location was quiet and very peacefully even though there was a construction site operating on the foreshore near the hotel - inside the rooms you couldn't hear the noise. The breakfasts were amazing. The terrace views of... More
