We loved the location and the wonderful terrace in this small, quaint hotel in the historic district. Our room had a beautiful sea view and the usual ammenities you would expect in a hotel in this class. There is an ample breakfast served on the terrace and beautiful views of both the Blue Mosque and Haiya Sophia. Unlike some of... more

Location is good...a few blocks from Ayasofia and Blue Mosque. The room was clean and had ample room but the walls are thin and the front desk staff is not friendly. The restaurant on the top floor had good breakfasts, including eggs, meat, yogurt, lots of different types of bread, figs, cereals, and toppings for the yogurt. The "orange juice"... more

Located on a shabby street in Sultanahmet but walking distance to all the cultural sights (purpose of trip). Hotel was very plain and a bit dreary, not the boutique hotel it was sold as. Absolutely no charm. Breakfast was mediocre but with coffee that resembled light tea and orange juice that was clearly TANG. Staff/service was inconsistent with breakfast staff... more

My partner took me to the Obelisk Hotel as a suprise weekend in Istanbul for Valentine's Weekend. The hotel is above average in many ways and it is certainly very well located, just a short stroll from the Blue Mosque and the Ayasofia. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable but our biggest problem was with the terrible soundproofing. We... more

This hotel has just been refurbished. We booked with Last minute.com and were very pleased. The pictures on the hotel website do not do the place justice. All rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable with 24" Phillips flat screen tvs. The mattress's are on the firm side, but thats the way we like it. I booked two rooms, a triple... more

The hotel is undergoing a renovation and it's almost completed. We stayed there as part of a tour group from the U.S. The hotel is in the Old District of Istanbul just a short walk from the Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar and Haia Sophia. However, don't waste $$ on a Sea View Room unless you get to see it beforehand.... more
