This hotel was close to the blue masque and close to the tram station very easy to get around. The staff were very helpful and there was nothing they couldn't do for us very impressed. The rooms very large and the bathroom had the best shower I'd ever been too. Will be staying here again when next in Istanbul.

We stayed here in June with our two teenage children. We booked a family room that had two rooms, one with a queen bed and another with two twin beds. The room was comfortable, clean and had a nice bathroom. The hotel is in a great location for touring and delicious restaurants are nearby. The front desk staff is very... More

The hotel is at a real nice location(Near to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque). Its a quiet hotel and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is very polite and helpful. The only thing that needs a bit of improvement are the bathrooms that need some renovation.

We got off the plane exhausted and were delivered to the Azade Hotel where Murat Karatasoglu offered us apple tea and a warm smile. He really made us feel welcome and gave us terrific recommendations for restaurants and sites. When we needed our tickets to the Whirling Dervish performance changed at the last minute he did that for us. The... More

Wonderful location nestled in cute corner just off the main roads, extremely close to all major attractions in Sultanahmet.. Room was very comfortable, strangely high bathtub to climb into! Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Had read that breakfast wasn't great and unfortunately it was true. By last day, I stuck to little more than buttered toast, but the great... More

Azade Hotel is a well situated place to stay. It is situated in the Sultan Ahmet district and this serves the purpose of tourists wishing to experience the discerning ambiance of Istanbul. It caters generally. Breakfast is the time to enjoy the magnificent terrace view of the Bosporous. The rooms are comfortable and more than serve their purpose of rest... More

We were very pleased with our selection of hotel in Istanbul and thanks to TripAdvisor for helping us make the right choice. There are plenty of hotel in the Sultanhmet district and finding somewhere to spend 4 days to call home is important. There were 2 rooms, one with a queen size bed and the other a single and we... it was a short 4-day stay but this great hotel helped us make the most of it pleasantly. Apart from the great location and the nice, well-kept room, the staff were extremely helpful and willing to make our lives easier. We were allowed an early check-in at 11 and a late check out, and everything we asked for was immediately... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
