Stayed two nights. The hotel could not be better located for exploring the old town and is literally a stone's throw away from everything. It has a rooftop dining area that provides an amazing spot to watch the sun rise as well as set. The room was dated but clean, comfortable, and served the purpose. The staff were very helpful... Not personal. Just a welcome and "enjoy your stay". If you choose to stay here I recommend requesting a room that is not on the 3rd floor - Late at night (every night) you can hear chairs being dragged on the floor above, which is the restaurant, and children running, mostly after 11pm. Same in the mornings at breakfast time.... More

Azade Hotel Has a great location in the old town and is close to many restaurants, the Blue Mosque, and more. Great comfy beds and pleasant rooms. While the breakfast area has great views the hotel lacks enticing common areas for sitting down with family/friends. The service was prompt and friendly.

My family and I recently returned from our vacation in Istanbul and we stayed at this hotel. Very nice hotel in a great location. It's a 5 mins walk to the Blue Mosque & the Hagia Sophia and 15-20 mins walk to the Grand Bazaar. Many good restaurants are close by. After eating Turkish cuisine for a few days we... More

The service in this hotel was excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The double room we stayed in was really well decorated and a really nice place to stay. There was a jacuzzi in the en-suite which was a lovely extra. The hotel location is great just a minutes walk from the most interesting sights in Istanbul and... More

Our triple room located on the top floor, with views of the Bosphorous was very comfortable and clean, with all the extras including, quaint toiletries. The views of the Bosphorous and Blue Mosque on the roof top, whilst enjoying a good breakfast, makes you want to "pinch yourself" and, the location in old Istanbul is great. However, what really distinguishes this hotel... More

This hotel was close to the blue masque and close to the tram station very easy to get around. The staff were very helpful and there was nothing they couldn't do for us very impressed. The rooms very large and the bathroom had the best shower I'd ever been too. Will be staying here again when next in Istanbul.

We stayed here in June with our two teenage children. We booked a family room that had two rooms, one with a queen bed and another with two twin beds. The room was comfortable, clean and had a nice bathroom. The hotel is in a great location for touring and delicious restaurants are nearby. The front desk staff is very... More

The hotel is at a real nice location(Near to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque). Its a quiet hotel and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is very polite and helpful. The only thing that needs a bit of improvement are the bathrooms that need some renovation.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
