Great location. Wonderful views of the Bosporus and Hagia Sophia. Clean, neat and nice. Nice restaurant. Lot of nice restaurants on the street. Minutes walk from all the attractions in the old town. Super hotel at a good price.

Stayed here one night on way from Toronto to Africa. Very convenient to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Tokapi Palace. Great restaurants close by. Rooms small but clean and we'll appointed. Breakfast ok. Staff very good.

We stayed in this hotel in December. Since we wanted to split our stay in Istanbul in two locations, we chose this as our first choice. It is very close to all the major attractions. It is a very small hotel with an extremely small lobby. The lane has many shops and restaurants. We had taken one junior suite and... More

My mother and I stayed here at the end of December, for a 4 night stay. As I am vegan, I had liaised with the hotel prior to our arrival to see if they could provide some soya milk for breakfast time. I've asked this in other hotels, and they always forget, but I was so pleased to learn that... More

Booked through Expedia where the hotel was pushed and rated as 5 star and SPA, unique opportunity. The reality was significantly different. No answers to preemptive email, no parking, quite noisy street, inactive SPA (sauna and Turkish bath switch left to customer initiative), poor breakfast with "pouder juices" and no croissant, no waiters at 7am on Jan 1st. Upon arrival... More

I stayed at the Best Western Premier Acropol in Istanbul for four nights with my family in December 2015. The hotel is located in Sultanahmet district and therefore some of the major city attractions such as Sultanahmet Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Gulhane Park, Topkapi Palace are 10 min walk from the hotel. Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar are 20 minutes walk... More

I went to this hostel on December with my old parents. Well placed (in the sultanahmet area), near blue mosque and the Saint-Sophie (5 minutes of walk). On the first day, our room wasn't like in the description. We asked them to change and since there was one free, they did it. The second room is really fine ! The... More

We had an enjoyable stay at the Acropol suites. My husband and I were in Istanbul for 3 nights and wanted to stay in a place that was walking distance to the main attractions - Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia, Grand Bazaar, etc. This place was perfect for this purpose. We got an upgrade at check-in, and got a room on... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
