My daughter and I stayed for 5 days at Sokullu pasa, the staff made us feel very welcome, Mr Fettah was great. All information he provided was very helpful to make our stay at Istanbul truly memorable. The rooms were beautiful and very clean, the breakfast was delicious I highly recommend the hotel.

My Partner at rhe Sokullu Paşa in August 2015. The hotel was about 10 minutes from the Grand Bazaar as well as the musem and main shopping area. We stayed in room 402 which was very spacious and looks as stunning as it did in the picture. It has a balcony that looks out to the port and the local... More

The staff were very helpful - the front desk booked us tickets to the museum and the Whirling Darvishes online or on the phone so that we did not have to line up for them. The breakfast was delicious and had a variety of dishes even for vegetarians like us. Unlike the chain (brand name) hotels, the service was personalized... More

We stayed here for two nights in room 206. We particularly liked the room which was south facing and with large windows and a high ceiling. It overlooks a court yard and so was fairly peaceful and quiet . We found the room and the hotel very relaxing and enjoyed our stay.

Feta made me feel really welcome and went out of his way to make me feel at home. He upgraded my room upon arrival and spent his own time explaining must see and do's. A minor issue with the air conditioning was corrected immediately with a minimum of fuss. Happy hour and the outdoor garden were perfect for relaxing after... More

We stayed at Sokullu Pasa hotel for about a week, and the service all in all was good. Whenever we had a concern regarding things like air conditioning, extra blankets, etc the staff came and addressed any issues or questions we had. The facilities are in good condition. Breakfast buffet had a wide variety, ranging from Turkish items, to eggs... More

Sokullu Pasa Hotel has good location, friendly staff and nice and clean rooms. The hotel is situated very close to all the beautiful sights in the Old City. We will not hesitate to stay at Sokullu Pasa the next time we visit Istanbul!

We stayed here 5 nights after checking into a previous hotel with a power outage and then switching to Sokullu Pasa. (Sokullu Pasa had back-up generators in case of a power outage, so that was great to know) The manager picked us up from the other hotel himself as it was difficult to get a taxi for such a short... I was very happy with the hotel. It is well-located on the Sultanahamet area for seeing the main sites by foot. The room set-up we had was fine and they added an extra mattress for our son at no extra cost. We stayed in their suite (two adults/two boys) which was large enough and comfortable. Its quiet also and the... More

Excellent service, great helpful people (Fettah, Mohamed, Fattih...and all the rest without exception). They really made sure our stay was amazing. The hotel itself has its own unique ambiance. Tasty breakfast, rooms were very nice. One of the cleanest hotels where you could always smell the fresh scent in your room. I will surely look forward to visiting again.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
