Great location and right near an awesome Turkish bath. Happy hour is 4-6 which is great coming from Australia and wanting a beer at the end of a long hot Turkish day. Would stay again on my next visit to turkey.

I stayed twice in ten days. The staff were very welcoming, offering assistance with booking trips and restaurants. I left jewellery in the safe by mistake, the cleaner handed it in , and it was there for me when I returned. Breakfast had an excellent amount of choices, I was very impressed for a smaller boutique hotel. Walking distance to... More

We chose the Sokullu Pașa Hotel on the recommendation of friends who live in the Sultanahmet neighborhood and are glad we did. Our room was lovely with a great view and the staff were very helpful....

I booked for an app. near this hotel from Tehran. But unfortunately when I arrived there I was shocked because it wasn't like as what was claimed and showed in the booking.com site. So I refused entering there and searched for another place for staying. After visiting of several hotels near the Sultan Ahmet I found this hotel suddenly and... More

They promise things they have no intention of providing. The worst example was their reassurances that at my early am departure, they would have a 'breakfast box' for me ... the next day they gave me nothing but excuses. Had to catch shuttle to airport and take a 5 hour flight on which no food that I could eat was... More

The hotel was booked by our tour organiser but were very happy with their choice. It is a small establishment (approx 30 rooms) where you are made to feel very much like a guest in someones home. We stayed on two separate occasions (before and after touring Turkey) Our first room was at the front and just a little noisy.... More

This hotel was one of the hotels on our Turkish Travel Centre Best of Turkey Tour. It was in a great location in the old city, very comfortable and had a very good breakfast buffet. It was quiet, rooms comfortable, everything we needed. All the hotels on this tour were great, as was the tour.

I stayed here on arrival into Turkey and again as i left. Ideally located in the Sultanahmet district within easy walking distance to all the treasures of the Old City. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly! Particular mention to Mesut, who was a wealth of information and helpfulness on where to eat, opening times of attractions, or... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
