We had just a short overnight stay in this hotel, from 26 to 27 December, between a late airplane and an early morning trip. I really liked the hotel and the Hotel staff. They were quite nice and helpful with luggage, easing the task of carrying the luggage up to the room (no lift available, since this is an old... more

Sokullu Pasa was the WORST ever hotel i have stayed ! My bf and I went to Istanbul for the Christmas holiday, and i could say the hotel has ruin the whole trip. We both fall sick after spending four nights there. First of all , it was winter and there has no radiator in the room ! Our room... more

We booked a room at Best Western Sultan's Palace on an internet web site. The room was modestly priced so I did not have high expectations. I was disappointed when we were led to a musty smelling 1st floor room. The room faced the garden and I was able to pry the windows open and prop them up with glasses... more

Sokullu Pasa Hotel is a charming little hotel in old Istanbul. The building is a typical wood house of turkish tradtion. It's very well kept with a dreaming old time atmosphere. Our room (a triple) was comfortable and spacious. It was full of light because one of its walls was entirely occupied by wonderful old windows. The bath was very... more

I have to admit I was a little worried before we got to this hotel - partly because of some of the reviews on here and partly because it seemed rather on the cheap side! (£130 for both of us for 4 nights) Didn't have anything to worry about though - admittedly this hotel is a little worn and tired... more

Just returned from Sokullu Pasa Hotel where we spent an unforgettable week. Maybe my time there was just too happy to notice anything bad around me, but the hotel seemed nice. It really felt like home. It was winter time, but the room was heated well enough. What we wished though is that the restaurant had a wider variety of... more

We have just returned from a week at Sokullu Pasha. We were looking for a small hotel in a typical ottoman house and that's exactly what we found. Charming atmosphere, courtesy in all the services and fantastic position very closed to all important monuments in Sultanahmet. Only the neighbourhood is not so well preserved and the position is quite difficult... more

Situated within a few minutes of major tourist atractions - Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, as well as the tram line connecting to the airport. However, it was quite difficult to find the hotel in the small and hilly streets of Sultanahmet, with all the suitcases to carry. The first room we were showed to was at the fourth floor... more
