Hotel is very close to the airport, its a 15Tl taxi ride that takes 15 mins. Property is a typical Renaissance right on the waters edge. There are a number of restaurants onsite, we really wanted some top notch Turkish food, which was hard to find on the menus. we ate from the Buffet one night, it was decidedly lukewarm... More

I stayed in this hotel for 5 days for business, because it had the most reviews. It turned out because it was the oldest hotel. Carpet is outdated, my light in the hallway broke on the 2nd day, my hairdryer broke on the 3rd day. If you are coming from US like me, unlike other 5 star hotels this hotel... More

I was the convenor of a conference staged at this hotel on 12-13 May 2015. The location is super-convenient for Istanbul Ataturk International Airport ( the main airport for Istanbul) and is a five-minute taxi-ride away: it costs no more than Euro5 for the taxi. The hotel is right by the sea, and you will have a choice between airport... More

Not a great hotel. Had to move rooms for building work of some kind on the floor above. Service wasn't great and takes far too long. No idea how to deal with international customers. It's not too difficult to use manners I don't think. Air con was non existent despite calling reception daily to deal with it. Music from the... More

Location on sea coast close to airport, in very nice city area, but far away from city center and historical sights; all the facilities are with easy using; the reception desk is a little bit slow; in double room there are only 1 compliment mineral water and sleepers; good variety of food on breakfast; elevators are oft busy.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your time and sharing your comments with us. As you also mentioned our Hotel is very close to the airport and not so far to the city.Normally it takes 20 mins to the old town but sometimes there might be traffic as it is the same in other very big cities like Istanbul, that might extend... Polat is a very nice 5-Star Hotel, away from the crowd of down town Istanbul. Situated 5 Minutes from the Atatürk Airport in a very nice and silent area direct on the Marmara Sea. The Polat is a great place for Business and fun too. Rooms are nice view to the Marmara sea is breathtaking , Prices are moderate and... More

The hotel is large, and very close to the shore and not far from the main international airport, so it's easy to get to and not a long journey to the airport. The down side of that is the noise from the airport, if the wind is in the wrong direction, then the noise from landing and departing aircraft is... More

I had to spend a night at Renaissance Polat Istanbul Hotel as my Turkish flight was hugely delayed that I missed my connection so I was offered a night at Renaissance hotel by Turkish airline. The hotel is nice, nice view but employees are inexperienced and don't know how to speak English despite this is an airport hotel. We received... More

This hotel is really nice. Ok it is ageing a bit and could perhaps do with a slight revamp inside in the rooms. But it has all the essentials of a good hotel. Rooms are plush and comfortable, nice beds, stunning sea views - waking up every morning watching the sun rising over the sea from your bed is an... More

Everything was good but this hotel is not near to the touristic center of Istanbul. One thing was very annoying, last day I couldn't check out on time and my electronic room card was disabled. That is very rude. Otherwise the hotel rooms & food & view is very good.
