We had a short stay prior to a cruise. Can't say enough about the staff, property and service. We consider ourselves pretty high maintenance and this property delivered it all! Greeted promptly upon arrival, friendly helpful front desk staff, club level staff went above and beyond, incredible views, great restaurant recommendations (to include their own.) The room was spectacular and... More

Its a ritz. So it should be one of the best hotels in the world. But the Istambul ritz is a special ritz and much more than the amazing view and the dedicated service. The service is full of great details and the room was incridible. Not too much expensive for a european hotel there.

Early this summer, I stayed at the Ritz Carlton Berlin and had a great experience, so I thought I'd give the Ritz Carlton Istanbul a try. I'm so glad I did! As a single female traveler, I was trepidatious about coming to Turkey alone. The Ritz put me entirely at ease. Security at the hotel is great. I'd had a... More

We stayed here for 2 nights before the start of a cruise. On the outside the hotel looks very modern and, in our opinion, a bit of an eyesore against all the older buildings in Istanbul. However, step inside, and the decor is modern but quite traditional. Our room was on the 7th floor and we had a side view... More

From check in to check out the service at this hotel was impeccable. Yelda and Rasit in the Club lounge went above and beyond and made our stay wonderful. They helped with everything from dinner reservations to transportation to advice on things to do. It is a bit different than other club lounges because they serve breakfast in the main... More

This Hotel staff was incredible. The head chef was fantastic. The food in the executive lounge was great. Rooms were great. Spa pool was beautiful, however the hot tub was not hot and the pool was on the cool side. The general location of the Hotel is not near any interesting areas such as Bashitkas, etc.

Spent 5 days at the Ritz Carlton, with my two daughters last year and it was amazing. Staff super friendly, very welcoming. Loved the Fresh cherry juice and turkish delight they had in the lobby each day. (Not something I would normally touch) We took taxis into the city, to visit the Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia etc.... More

It was so nice to start our day off with a wonderful breakfast and finish the day with the relaxing pool area after touring. The room was big and spacious with a great view. The kids enjoyed playing pool in the lounge room and we enjoyed the bar area.

In the heart of the city, with an incredible view. The staff is very welcoming and professional. Our room was very spacious, and well equipped. The bathroom was in marble, with gave a sense of luxury and very well designed. The restaurant and bar was simply perfect. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to stay in Istanbul.

Spent 5 days at the Ritz Carlton Istanbul with my wife in July. Stayed on the club floor and in a room with a partial view of the Bosphorus. It was one of the more pleasant stays we have had a hotel anywhere, at any price. Gracious staff, elegant and spotless surroundings, comfortable room and great food. In fact, the... More

Staying in Besiktas

Neighborhood Profile
Besiktas
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighborhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
