Excellent place but a little far from the main area. Everything was clean, nice and upto the mark. Will recommend to anyone visiting Istanbul. 100% value for money. If I ever visit Istanbul then will stay here for sure.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Angels Home Hotel. So many great touches, free coffee tea and cakes all day, free postcards and Turkish delight, scales in the bedrooms to help you check your luggage weight, friendly staff, great views and a comfy but quirky style.

This hotel was great. So close to everything and yet quiet, (except for the call to prayers but that was cool!). An amazing breakfast each morning and the roof top was the most amazing view in all of Istanbul I'm sure!

We had an awesome stay at Angels Home Hotel. On arrival we were welcomed warmly and offered apple tea and the most amazing Turkish delight I've ever had! The chap who checked us in was knowledgeable and gave us some good advice and recommendations of things to do during our stay. The hotel is clean and boutique. Our room was... More

Overall had an excellent experience at The Angel's home Hotel. The service and amenities were very good and the reception, restaurant and domestic staff were all both friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was excellent, very close to many of the major sites in the Old City and the views from the 4th floor Balcony Restaurant were spectacular.... More

The location of the hotel is excellent, the rooms are clean and during breakfast from the terrace you can see the mezquitas and the sea. We rented four rooms and all of them were excellent. We had a wonderful time!. Thank you!

if you're looking for cheap, very cheerful, clean, full of heart and AMAZING location, look no further. After exploring most of Istanbul, I still hold testament to Angel House having the best location. Its about 2 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia is about 4 minutes. The grand bazaar is a very relaxing 20 minute stroll and... More

We were thrilled at the proximity of the hotel to everywhere we wanted to go: four blocks from The Blue Mosque; a quarter mile from Hagia Sophia and the Palace; a half mile to the shore of the sea; a mile from the Grand Bazaar and restaurants galore in every direction. The room was small but adequate (made smaller by... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
