We stayed here for four days. We had some initial concerns, but they were all completely resolved. The views from the roof top terrace are among the most dramatic we have ever seen on six continents. The Internet booking prices are right and everything was excellent including brreakfasts, comfort and cleanliness. Special thanks you to Betul, Sezer and Alpert.

I would definitely use this hotel again, for the convenience of being able to walk to most of the popular sights as described by all the other reviews. The buses and trams are also very nearby and the Grand Bazaar and Spice Market are also within walking distance although a little further than the Mosques. Our room also had a... More

As others have said, this is a very pleasant little hotel in an excellent location. It has a very nice terrace on the roof with a view to the Blue Mosque. Breakfast is ok - plentiful if somewhat predictable being the usual Turkish fare. Our room was a good size and the bed comfortable. We faced out onto the street... More

My wife and I stayed here for four nights. The location, just minutes from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, and tram station, can't be beat. Although it's an older hotel, our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally helpful, which helped make our visit to Istanbul truly memorable. They have a really nice breakfast buffet, which you... More

This is a nice, family-run small hotel. Even though it's located on a somewhat busy street, it is not too noisy at night. You will usually be awakened by the call to prayer every morning - very loudly - but it doesn't matter where you're staying. You will not be able to avoid the song from a tower anywhere in... More

This is a lovely little place as close to the Blue Mosque and Ayia Sophia as you could want. Even though our room was at the front onto the road we were not troubled by noise as the road itself is quiet. The room was small but clean and well equipped. Don't expect tea-making facilities though but there is a... More

Rooms are a bit small and dark and breakfast not particularly great but stick to the cereal and toast and you will be pleased. Hotel staff were beyond helpful - nothing was too much trouble and I have rarely had such great serviceeven in 5 star hotels. Location for sightseeing could't be better. Also great location for eating and shopping.... More

This historic little boutique hotel is perfectly situated in Sultanahmet on a quiet street right between the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The calls to prayer from the minarets rebounded between the two adding to our delight at our location. The rooms of the Uyan are smallish but comfortable and very clean. Because of the friendliness and helpfulness of the... More

I recently stayed at the Uyan Hotel and I must say it was a great hotel. It is perfectly located right next to the Blue Mosque and all the other sites of Istanbul. They staff was great and went out of their way for you. I enjoyed this hotel and would stay there again.

Room 203 small fibulae but great little balcony to watch the world go by. As others have said rooms may be small but service and attentive staff make up for it. Fabulous views from roof terrace. Hotel is superbly located for Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia but on a quiet street.
