We had a queen size bed in our own room, the kids shared a room with 3 twin beds and we had a large living room with 2 couches, a large fridge and tv there was... More

The staff were very friendly and helpful with check-in and the questions that I had about the neighborhood and directions to attractions. My room was small, but clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a perfect location and great neighborhood walking distance from the Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern, and other attractions and good restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

I spent a week in Istanbul staying at Hotel Uyan and had a wonderful trip! I arrived late one evening and was shown my room, but it wasn't the room I stayed during my last visit, and wanted to stay in, again. The night manager walked me to two other rooms available ... not the room ... and not the... More

This little hotel is one minute walk to Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Old city etc. Our tour agency arranged for us to stay here for 3 nights and it was fine for first time visitors in Istanbul to explore.. A bit noisy you hear knocks and walks in hallway... Prayer call a couple of times a day due to 1... More

I just been there (October 2015.It is a vary nice place, perfect position and very good price. All the staff is very nice and helpfull. The room is simple and neat, there is not so much space in the single room but it make sense in order to have a confy bed. There is also a very nice terrace for breakfast.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
