The staff were very friendly and professional. The food was excellent. The location of the hotel is great. Looking forward to come again. Every afternoon, a different treat would be delivered to the room, Turkish delights, baklava, macaroons and we always had fresh fruit.

We recently spent 3 nights @ this wonderful hotel. Few blocks from Grand Bazar. In the middle of the Old City with many important sites blocks away. It was most helpful to hire a guide for 1.5 days to get us in/ out of the bazar, palaces & mosques. All services were superb. The roof top bar magnificent over looking the... More

Warm welcome from delightful staff at the reception desk, Quiet and comfortable room (despite it overlooking the street), with a brilliant bathroom:spacious, with the most comfortable bath and bath pillow. Pleasant restaurant where we enjoyed eating, preceded by drinks on a roof terrace overlooking the city. Brilliantly placed, a short walk from Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Place...

15 years ago we went here with our two young children for ice cream. The staff was so nice to our kids, I held the place in high regard. We came back to Istanbul and stayed elsewhere (let's face it, Four Seasons is expensive). We went to their rooftop bar for drinks on our last night in Istanbul. The staff... More

This hotel is just so amazing and has such a fascinating history. We stayed here recently In May and June, 2015, on three different occasions in three stunning suites. The furnishings of the rooms and the hotel is stunning. The service was brilliant in every area. So friendly and welcoming which creates a wonderful atmosphere. Could not get a better... More

The Four Seasons at Sultanahmet is really a wonderful place to stay. It is located right in the middle of the old city, walking distance to the major tourist attractions. Rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are very roomy. Every afternoon, a different treat would be delivered to the room, Turkish delights, macaroons, baklava and we always had fresh fruit.... More

My first trip to Istanbul is an exciting chance for me to see this wonderful city where East meets West. Initially I planed 3 days for Istanbul but then realized 3 days is simply not enough. So I planed for 5 days instead and split it between two hotels. The first hotel of my Istanbul stay is the Four Seasons... More

I like taking hot showers. I stayed 2 days total. Never once did I get hot water or enough hot water to take a shower. Hot water. .....at least for a decent bath lasting 5 to 10 minutes please. The staff at the reception were just wonderful. Very friendly and very helpful.

First stay at this hotel - very much enjoyed our 4 nights. Excellent location and service. For first time tourist to Istanbul ... it doesn't get any better! At checkin we upgraded to a suite for a decent discount - worth every cent.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
