Nice spacious rooms, great walking distance to most all worth seeing. Including great shopping, markets and sights. A plus is the beautiful view of Sultanahmet. Nothing bad can really be said of this old jail turned into a luxury hotel. Other details: The breakfast room is very nice. I recommend their apple tea! It has pieces of dried apple in... More

I stayed here for 5 nights, weather was a bit cold at the time in Istanbul, we were a family of four in a party of 12. We had four rooms. The hotel went above and beyond to accommodate my two boys age 7 and 5. They gave them little hotel slippers, gowns, games and even tshirts. Staff were very... More

I had for a few days a business trip in Istanbul. The reception of the hotel was impolite. She didn't have time to hear my questions. The room didn't had the view I expected. The toilet should have been cleaner. I excepted something better for the money I gave. I was very tired and didn't bother to make complaints. I... More

I've visited this hotel for a short break with my wife. As we arrived the staff was very friendly and the Concierges set up a gift for her exactly as I requested. The venue is really spectacular and a run on the roofs let you touch the various monument in the area. Haya Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapy, archeological museum. All... More

We go to Istanbul every year and we always go in the winter because of an annual meeting we attend. We always stay at the Four Seasons Sultanahmet. Why? Because of the location, and the hotel and staff are fantastic! The staff know us and take special care of us, but I'm sure they do the same for all guests.... More

This was once a prison, but you will need to keep reminding yourself of that. (Perhaps hum Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues" as you walk along the hallways.) The rooms are spacious and well decorated, the staff is extremely helpful, the bar and restaurant are excellent. Perhaps best of all is the location -- just steps from Hagia Sophia and... More

The Four Seasons was a pure delight. We stayed at the Sultanahmet almost a full week and could not have been more pleased. Every experience there was superb. The dining and cocktail services was excellent, the Seasons restaurant was some of the finest cuisine we had in Istanbul. The customer service, from every single person was of the highest caliber,... Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
