This was the first time I had stayed in a Four Seasons and by far my best hotel experience. Me and my wife arrived for four nights as part of our honeymoon and we were very well looked after throughout. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating and it was just the small things that made all the difference... More

Our 5 point review: 1. Located less then 5 minutes walk from both the Aya Sofia and the Blue Mosque, this is THE BEST located hotel in Sultanhamet in our opinion 2. Formerly the prison of the sultan, the converted hotel is so beautiful and classy that it makes you think "these prisoners had it good!" It even comes with... More

This is one of those rare 5* hotels that gives you a wow feeling every time you go through the door. The flowers in the entrance are fantastic. The courtyard effect makes it feel intimate. The rooms are superb. The hotel is generous providing free Nespresso and little gifts each day. The staff could not be nicer. One could add... More

I stayed here some time ago and I have to say it was faultless. Subtle attentive service which was unintrusive. Rooms and guest areas in which you feel you are at home. Staff that are more like friends and acquaintances.

We had two nights at this wonderful hotel, in a most amazingly comfortable and well appointed room. Everything you could wish for was already in place. Breakfasts were amazing, covering all tastes. When she gleaned that we were from Australia, the waitress kept on coming out from the kitchen with samples of traditional Turkish fare. We were humbled to be... More

This five star hotel does everything well, and has the added bonus of being within 5-10 mins walk of the major tourist attractions in Istanbul. With traffic being a real issue in the city, being so close to the sites in Sultanahmet is brilliant. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, as you would expect from this chain, but the real... We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this iconic hotel. The setting and attention to detail in the decor is a visit in itself. Each piece of decorative ceramic on the walls or the tables add to the ambience. The courtyard is an oasis, and breakfast under the pergola was a delightful experience with all the Turkish specialties. It is an experience... More

An amazing Hotel in the middle of the historical site of Istanbul. It was a prison that was converted to a Hotel, with quite rooms and a beautiful garden. The location is great, few steps to Sultanahmet Square, Hagia Sophia, and Basilica Cistern. Also nearby are Blue Mosque and Hippodrome. The service is great and the staff is amazing. The... More

It was my second visit to Istanbul. Last time I was staying in a good hotel someplace near Bosfor. This hotel is at Sultanahmet, historic site of the city. It was costracted in the building that used to be a prison 500 years ago. 300 meters from main historical buildings like St. Sophia, ets. The hotel itself is amazinly decorated... More
