Stayed at the four seasons in old town which is steps away from Attractions like blue mosque and haggia Sofia . The concierge always had unique suggestions for us and the trip was very special as we celebrated a birthday. The hotel sent us champagne cake and roses that morning and the look on my husbands face was priceless !... More

Stayed five nights on our first trip to Istanbul in a twin room with view of the Ayasofya. This hotel is perfectly positioned for a first time stay in Istanbul it is within minutes of most sights and has stunning views of the blue mosque and the Ayasofya. From the roof top bar you can chill with cocktails while the... More

As you would expect from Four Seasons, this is an exceptional property. It is expensive, but worth every dollar. It is superbly located in Sultanamet and easy walking distance to the Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Bazaar, etc. Staff all excellent and friendly. Rooftop bar has a view/atmosphere that cannot be matched. Bottom line: if you can afford it, don't think... More

We had a lovely stay at this gorgeous hotel. It's location is excellent in the old part of the city and very accessible to other parts of the city. We loved the roof top bar and the Dj always had the best chilled tunes. If I had one thing to improve upon I'd like to see a better range of... More

For us this is the only place to stay in Istanbul even though it is an expensive stay. Probably the best service you will find anywhere at every level. The rooftop bar is a must visit with spectacular views of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The mid court restaurant is an oasis and the food is superb. They have... More

My wife and I spent a week on this fantastic hotel , that maybe is one of the best experience i had during a trip. The terrace bar on is the best place to watch sunset over these great monuments! The style is typical of Turkish culture and i really appreciated it. The staff , the room , everything was... More

My husband and I spent two nights here in an Executive Suite after spending 5 nights in an apartment in Beyoglu. We were happy for the "upgrade", a gift from my mother who joined us for our last few days in Istanbul. The Four Seasons at Sultanahmet is in an excellent location, just a few steps walking to some of... More

If you are visiting Istanbul for a short time, the Four Seasons at Sultanahmet is the hotel for you! A former prison, it is in a wonderful location in the historic old town, next to the Topkapi and Hajja Sophia. The terrace bar on the fourth floor is the place to watch sunset over these great monuments! The decor is... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
