We have stayed at the Seven Hills Hotel in the Sultanahmet and always return as it makes our time in Istanbul so much more enjoyable. It is in the perfect location for all the sights in the old city and the restaurant on the roof has wonderful food even though it has the best views in Istanbul. The breakfasts are... More

We saw this hotel from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia in old town and discovered the perfect place for a drink or dinner. We even went back a second time, and were not disappointed! The rooftop terrace commands a terrific view of the historic sites on one side of the building and, in the opposite direction, the Bosporus where... More

I can't imagine finding a better hotel than this. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooftop hotel restaurant has to be one of the best views you can get of Istanbul (view of Hagia Sofia on one side, Blue Mosque on the other, and very close to the water so you can see all the sea birds flying overhead... Views + value + location = book now! Read everyone's reviews and know it's the tallest building around. The main walking areas are right outside the main entrance without the street noise and pedestrian traffic from other locations. The rooftop restaurant is hands down the best view period in the entire area! A pleasure to wake up for my included... More

If you are looking for a nice hotel with magnificent views of Istanbul, the Seven Hills is a good choice. The hotel's key selling point is the spectacular rooftop restaurant - it really is an amazing spot to have a leisurely morning breakfast! Our family of four stayed in a suite, which worked perfectly in terms of size and set... More

Bariš and his team gave us a unforgettable evening, with great food, but most of all the best view In Istanbul. The quality of seafood and beer perfectly complimented the scenic beauty of the Istanbul skyline. This is a must for modern western tourists In Istanbul.

Great restaurant right next to Hagi Sophia. The view is simply spectacular, split between Hagi Sophia and the Bosphorous. Riduan, Fesih and their team of first class waiters will take good care of you. Nice place to unwind after a hectic afternoon visiting the many charming attractions of sultanahmet.

Forget everything else - the views are everything! Okay - the food was great too. And the service was above par. I never stayed in the hotel but ate at the restaurant. The best food I had in Istanbul. And enjoying it with that awesome 360 degree panoramic view made it even better.

Very nice staff. Elevator. A/C. Stunning views from the roof-top restaurant. Nice breakfast included. Walking distance to Hagia Sophia (skip if you're short on time), Blue Mosque (don't miss - can't go in during call to prayer), and Topkapi Palace (ornate and sprawling!), and the tram, which takes you most other places you want to go for 4TL. The rooms... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
