I've been here 4 nights, tonight is my last night. I'm very petite 4 foot 2 inches and as the bath is deep in the room, I mentioned my struggle to get in and out of the bath to the reception staff... the next day, they presented me with a set of specially made steps. Never in my life have... More

We stayed at the Seven Hills in late April 2015. This hotel could not be in a better location to visit all the major historical sights of Istanbul. The rooftop restaurant has a view that cannot be beat of the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, as well as the Bosphorous and Golden Horn. WiFi worked well throughout the hotel, and... More

We spent a total of 10 nights here, bookending a gulet cruise -- 6 and 4 nights respectively. Our first room (#101) came with a double bed, desk with stool, TV and fridge, sofa, luggage rack, small table with coffee/tea fixings, a closet with 7 real hangers and a minuscule safe. The bathroom shower's hot water varied with the time of... More

This is a very nice hotel, with decent if not fancy rooms, no real lobby area but thoroughly wonderful service. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. But the real reason to stay here becomes obvious when you go up to the restaurant and breakfast area. The views are breathtaking and will remain my favorite memory of a great trip... More

Fantastic lunch with breath taking views, delicious food, and friendly helpful service! Would definitely recommend for an unforgettable lunch. Had the best views of Istanbul and the beautiful mosques.

Breathtaking views of the Bosphorus, the Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque! My friend even uttered, "this is the nicest place I've been to in my life." We had great service from Ismail. Free wifi, great food, and a wonderful atmosphere. We ordered the chicken kabobs, the veggie plate, and a mixed meat dish, which were delicious!

Had 2 great lunches here with 10 friends at the roof top restaurant! The service is attentive and friendly and the food is delicious. The view is amazing as it is located between Hagia Sopia and the Blue mosque overlooking the Bosphorous! Slightly touristy but well worth it!

I did a lot of research before picking a hotel and boy was i right on this on. The final clincher was the rooftop restaurant, which is the tallest in sultan ahmet and with jaw dropping views. Every morning we would eat breakfast here, i normally dont waste time on breakfast. But here with a selectiom of fresh fruits, honey,... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
