We stayed at the Splendid Hotel for four nights at the beginning of May. It is definately worth visiting the Princes Islands during a stay in Istanbul. We had stayed in Sultanahmet for 6 nights and wanted to get away from the hussle and bustle of main land Istanbul. By staying on Buyukada we certainly achieved this. The hotel looks... more

This hotel was just like going back in time. The entrance, reception, lounge and restaurant are very grand and don't look like they changed over time - you can imagine what it was like to have been there in the hotels heyday. We had a seaview room, which was massive and we had great views over the Sea of Marmara.... more

this is one of the most special hotels I have been to (and I have been to lots). It is set in the most beautiful historical building the the Island of Buyudada (30 mins by ferry from Istanbul).
