Hello, I was there for business purpose; there was no ironing board in the room; it took them 30 minutes (after sevaral calls at the reception) to bring a lousy ironing board, which they then took back at their own initiative while i was not in the room; when i asked for the second time for an ironing board, they... Favoured by weddings and events this hotel has a buzzing atmosphere upon arrival. I was worried at the check-in that there would be chaos but I was immediately taken to a comfortable lounge area to complete the formalities before being taken to my room. The rooms are traditional and it is well worth upgrading to the rooms with the full... More

My wife and I spend three nights at this wonderful hotel in July. The service was excellent, our room was large and comfortable, and the grounds were beautiful. It was a wonderful refuge from the hustle and bustle of Istanbul. We ate and Turgan and enjoyed it. We also at at Laledan, which was good but not as good as... More

This is a very lovely property. Beautiful views and well-appointed/spacious rooms. The hotel, itself, is quite luxurious (though starting to show a bit of wear if you look closely enough) with unbelievable breakfast offerings. The bathrooms are very nice and very large, though the shower would be dangerous/difficult for anyone with limited mobility, as the tubs are very high and... More

Yes it is stunning but so are the prices, we are lucky and regularly stay in 5 star hotels but this one was the most expensive ever, nearly double our previous record. Its a great place to dry out as the price of alcohol is mind boggling ( bring as much as you can in your suitcase!!). great pool and... More

We had the pleasure of dining at Tugra in the Ciragan Palace tonight. Though lauded for the lavish decor, breathtaking view view and extraordinary culinary expertise, the true delight was brought by our gracious server Selin. Helpful in choosing everything from wine to dessert her knowledge of dishes unknown to our palate served as the catalyst needed to maximize our... More

Gorgeous Ottoman Palace! We stayed in a Jr. Suite with views of the Bosphorus and the Asia side of Istanbul. The suite was opulent and fit for royalty and the staff was very hospitable. The hotel Spa offers a "couples" Turkish Hamam, a luxurious experience and one we will never forget. We enjoyed a romantic dinner on the balcony at... More

This hotel is fabulous with excellent rooms, restaurants, and amenities especially the pool on the Bosporus. The old Palace restaurant is very special on the balcony looking onto the water. We ate there 3 of the 4 night stay as it was so special.

We stayed at the Ciracan Palace two weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed our visit we had a Grand Deluxe Bosporus View room which was absolutely wonderful, spotless, the views are just unbelievable. Its well worth the extra dollars. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to dine, We wanted to try the Tugra restaurant however we were taken out by friends.... More

Spent two nights at the hotel with my wife and 2 yr old daughter. Hired a superior sea view room and nice balcony. What stands out is the service at the hotel - I do travel a lot on (mostly on business) and service quality and the staff at the hotel undoubtedly stand out!! From the the check-in experience to... Staying in Besiktas

Neighborhood Profile
Besiktas
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighborhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
