Stayed here several times when in Istanbul on business. Loved it. Great service, great rooms. The breakfast buffet is not to be missed. And the shoeshine guy in the lobby does the MOST amazing job - lasts for weeks!

We stayed here for only one day and night during a layover but it was a great one! My only gripe was a broken chair on the balcony, I sat down and it collapsed, showing where they tried to fix it previously with glue. Other than that painful mishap, the service was top notch and our room was gorgeous and... More

Its magnificent location provides a great relaxing view of the city and Bosporus sea. Its classical architecture travells your mind to the past...in the times of Sultans! Very well decorated, comfort and extra clean rooms!!! The personell is very friendly and helpfull! One of the best breakfast buffets, i have ever enjoyed! Don't miss the hammam-spa experience! - Hotel is overpriced - quality of the rooms are very standard - Great service and they are very fast All in all i would not recommend this hotel to anyone, its very old school and in major need of renovating the rooms. I can't bring myself to understand how it is regarded as the best hotel is Istanbul. It... More

Çiragan Palace is really amazing! İt is a very fancy luxurious property that reflects the real Othoman taste. İt has an undescribed magic. The Bosphorus water's smell, its smooth breeze, and the tasty food offered give all what is needed to make the oneself feels that he is just in Constantinopoulos/İstanbul. İt must be seen!

I loved our stay at the Ciragan Palace. We were a very large group attending a family wedding and they went out of their way to accommodate our many requests. We had small kids and made quite a few demands and all these were met with a gracious smile and great attitude. While the property is a bit dated and... More

The most famous hotel in the city, beautiful building, overlooking the Bosporous. Nothing was too much trouble, from booking restaurants and bars to organising river taxis. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have ever had. This is the place to stay if you want luxury and first class service.

Staying in Besiktas

Neighborhood Profile
Besiktas
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighborhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
