Had a 1 bedroom suite corner Bosphorus view for 6 nights, and it was fabulous. The suites are in a separate building which is fully newly decorated and you can feel the luxury. The view cant be matched and the service was excellent. We just wish the room had a balcony !!

This hotel is top class. It's under renovation but the new areas are some of the best I've seen anywhere. Breakfast is amazing in the Swiss cafe and we are on the roof one night which was also fantastic. We got upgraded to the apartments section and though we didn't have a view of the Bosphorus, this was more than... More

We got the "first impression " by welcoming us with very early check-in ! Anything we asked for, the concierge team were so helpful with as it was expected from a 5 star hotel. The view of the lobby and breakfast saloon is amazing. The spa and poolside area are also very nice and I was impressed by receiving very... More

I stayed in the Bosphorus view corner rooms and the view is breathtaking. The hotel just got a complete renovation this year and the rooms was totally transformed into a practical modern rooms. The hotel is very close to all the shopping and high traffic areas. Staff are good and the value for money is much better than other five... More

My 3 nights stay in this superb property is close to perfection. Upon stepping in, I immediately welcome the warm smiles of the staffs instantaneously convincing us that we are in a great if not the best place in town. The breathtaking view of the Marmara Sea (if my memory serves me right) which serves as a living art on... More

The Swissotel Bosphorus more than merits its five-star status. The hotel has excellent facilities throughout, including a spa and leisure centre with a small indoor pool, gym, and extensive sauna/steam facilities. Rooms are well equipped - even boasting their own Nespresso machines! - and cleaned regularly and immaculately. Ours opened directly onto the plush outdoor pool area, with its own... More

Rooms and facilities are some of the best in all of Istanbul. The rooms are well appointed, and Swissotel have not skimped on their luxury Bosphorus oasis. In saying that, staff are somewhat rude and indifferent to customer complaints, but on the whole, a great choice for five star accommodation in Istanbul.

Staying in Besiktas

Neighborhood Profile
Besiktas
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighborhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
