all, except for the view from the top floor balcony, was awful. the location awful. very hard to find, very narrow streets with very poor lighting at night. all kind of shops on the street, it was like a street bazaar... it was a little frightening to walk on the street at night. the room too small and not so... I had booked into the Mimar Sinan Inn for 3 nights based on the positive reviews on different websites and what a different experience my husband and I have had! First of all, we were kept waiting for about 15 minutes at the door when we arrived as no one answered the bell. The owner of the shop next to... More

This is a nice hotel near Suleiman Mosque. The location, the friendly and careful staff and the magnify view from the terrace left us very good impression of our stay in Istanbul. The room is very clean and is very comfortable. It´s not a 4 stars hotel but and is a very small hotel. It is very recommendable to young... More

We stayed in Mimar Sinan Inn during our holyday in Istanbul. The Hotel is located next to the beautiful Suleyimanye Mosque. We found a very nice and friendly staff. The room was clean and it had a very nice room decor. We enjoyed our breackfast on the terrace with an amazing view on Istanbul and Bosphorus. If I will go... More

This delightful little hotel is perfectly located for easy exploration of the area of Istanbul around Sultanahmet. We received a warm welcome, were well looked-after and we were very impressed by the quality of our room. The view from the roof terrace was stunning! Would definitely come back!

Excellent in every way. The lovely young owner, Muazes, made us feel very welcome and couldn't be more helpful. The hotel is located literally around the corner from the stunning Souleymane Mosque and the Grand Bazaar and within a walking distance from the Sultanahmet district with all the must-sees. The top floor terrace offers a breathtaking view of the Golden... More

Mimar Sinan Inn is clean and comfort hotel, size doesn't big, you need to walk uphill to reach there, it is inside an ottoman building. You can take the breakfast at the terrace with beautiful view of the Istanbul centre and the Golden horn. Yeni Mosque is very close to the hotel, it is right in the next corner. My... More

Mimar Sinan Inn is small hotel located near most popular historical places in Sultanahmet. Staff was more than kind and staying there was like staying at home. Terace with beautiful view towards Golden horn, Galata bridge, Galata tower, Eminonu and Yeni mosque, especially at night. On the other side of the hotel there is a beautiful Suleymaniye mosque. Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
