This hotel has a perfect location, and is more like a Bed and Breakfast in terms of service and personal care received. The room had a bed and a separate area with a desk and cafe style table and chairs, which made us feel that we had a suite-like setting. There is a safe in the room, and the bathroom... More

We were staying in this hotel for the weekend. We chose it because of good reviews, and didn't regret.Very good option in terms of Value for Money.Location is superb.Room was comfortable and cosy.Breakfast was average. Staff is friendly and helpful! Some moments that spoilt a bit our impression from this hotel: 1.while making a reservation I mention that i'd have birthday on... More

We have stayed at the Magnuara Palace twice over the last two years, it only gets better. The staff are amazing and incredibly helpful. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The location couldn't be better, within walking distance to all the Main Tourist Attractions in Istanbul. The view from the Terrace is breathtaking. We love Istanbul and the Hotel... More

I recently stayed at The Magnaura Palace for 5 nights with two other friends and I can not recommend this hotel enough! The whole place is beautiful! The rooms are very clean and modern/updated. Every morning an AMAZING breakfast buffet is served on the (beautiful, ocean view) rooftop terrace of the hotel. The staff at the hotel is hands down... More

The title of this review really says it all. The location of this hotel absolutely cannot be beat. It's within a 2 minute walk to the Blue Mosque which means Aya Sofya and Topkapi Palace are about 4 and 6 minutes away, respectively. Also within walking distance are hundreds of restaurants and cafes. The best food in Istanbul? Not at... More

This hotel is clean, it's decent and it's in an amazing location just a minute or two's walk from the tourist centre of Istanbul: near the Blue Mosque, Ayia Sofia, Topkapi and the Cistern. It's not five star luxury, but the service is great. The rooms are perfectly OK if a little tight on space for the heavy traveller and... More

Wee booked a corner suite for 5 nights. The room was large with a little balcony and the room itself overlooked the sea; we often sat and just looked out at the huge ships entering and departing the port. The breakfast which is included had a huge selection of food and very generous. The terrace area where breakfast is taken... More

We arrived to the hotel around 10.30 so we were expecting to just leave our bags and check in after 2.00. But that was not the case. Within 30 minutes our room was ready. From the moment we arrived the staff could not do anymore for us. Very friendly and accommodate. They gave us all the information we needed to... More

Literally around the corner from the blue mosque, this small hotel is very well situated for a trip to Istanbul focus seed on seeing the sights. The staff were incredibly helpful, charming and lovely at all times. Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. Our short stay at the Magnaura Palace was so good that we are planning to go back. The location is near the mosque and within walking distance of many landmarks. Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
