First off, the location is already about 2 minutes from central taksim square so extremely convenient. Yet do not expect much from the surroundings, the road is inhabited by people selling fake shoes and beggars, however this is easily forgiven considering the price. I've never really been a fan of the sort of bathroom layout where the shower is open... More

I had a great stay, good location, close to the Tram, room was small though but good enough for one person. The breakfast was great. But get your tooth paste because they don't keep any. I would surly go again

I stayed there in June 2014 for a week. It was an excellent choice: the location is ideal as it is close to all transportation means, shops, restaurants, change offices and groceries. Situated in a small street far from hassle and noise. Rooms are small (but ok for a solo traveller), very clean and with comfy beds. Staff are kind... More

Definitely one of the best hotels I've been to in the area. It was quite cheap when we went (August 2014) and we had 2 separate rooms (1 for my husband & I and 1 for my 3 kids). The staff was amazing, they remembered our names and we often joked with them. It was always fun returned to them... More

The goods: Location. 2 minutes walk to Taksim Square, Istikilal Street & Metro Station. Friendly and helpful staff. They changed our room after we complained of the noise coming into our room, though the other room had the same problem. The bads: The rooms are incredibly small. So small that after placing your luggage you will hardly have place to... More

it can not be a hotel. Call it whatever but not a hotel. The hotel smells kitchen oil all day. The Ceiling was leaking. Terrible noise from the morning. Workers reconstructing the building from 8 30. The breakfest was terrible. If you respect yourself dont apear in aston residence.

My girlfriend and I arrived in NYE to IST and we had originally booked to rent a studio room very close to Taksim square, and what a fiasco... the studio apartment did not even look like the photos we saw online. For the second and consecutive nights of our stay in IST we decided to move to a hotel, and... More

I stayed in this property with my family for 1 night and would recommend it to anyone. The location is fantastic, with easy access to all attractions. The front desk very helpful and willing to go that extra mile. We got an upgrade to Aston Suites which was a nice touch. The breakfast selection was also very good. My only... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
