Stayed here twice (4 nights total) in June 2013. One of our favorite hotels during our stay in Turkey. Location: Excellent, in old town, close walking distance to Grand Bazar, Spice Bazar, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, ferry harbour, tram stop, restaurants, souvenir shops. Room: Stayed in the superior. Fairly spacious. Had TV with satellite (English speaking channels), wardrobe, digital safe,... More

My wife and I stayed 6 nights at the Elanaz in late October. We were very pleased with the hotel. It's location is in the Old City portion, but in easy walking distance to the bridge or tram to head to the New City, or the docks to go to Asia. The intensity of the tourism industry in the Old... I spent two short periods here in early October and then again in early November this year. The location is spot on for exploring Istanbul: within easy walking distance of the Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia etc; accessing the tram, light rail and ferries; and a number of reasonable eateries nearby. The personnel involved in running the hotel... More

This is a lovely little hotel in the old town of Istanbul. It's within easy walking distance of the major attractions (Blue Mosque, the Cistern, etc) and very close to the bridge across the Golden Horn. The rooms were really comfortable, we stayed in the top floor with a view of the Bosphours. The hotel was good value, breakfast was... More

Wonderful small hotel steps away from both the underground and the tram. This was our first trip to Turkey, and we found the Elanaz to be a warm and comfortable place to stay. The hotel was so small (around 14 rooms, usually 2 per floor) we had an opportunity to meet and visit with some of the other guests from... More

Recommended by friends, this was an outstanding choice for our first visit to Istanbul. A small gem in a lively area of Istanbul, excellent location with easy walking to the tram and other public transportation, Topkapi palace, lots of small shops and nightlife, and the harbor. As we stayed later in other hotels throughout Turkey, we realized how much we... More
