Within walking distance of Taksim Square and numerous sight-seeing and shopping areas as well as the tram to Old Town, this hotel is perfectly located. But, inconsistent service and a staff that drifts through their work, makes this reviewer award only three stars. While the breakfast buffet was plentiful and mostly good, one had to go searching for their coffee... More

Apart from the location, it was my worst hotel experience in istanbul for the 7th visit! 1. No cooperative staff: whatever u asked there is polite answer 'im sorry, i can't or we can't' 2. They cheat customers with standard rooms. 3. AC was not working well 4. Bed was really uncomfortable 5. No good room service 6. Breakfast was... More

İ have stayed at this hotel and asked for a sea view, it was amazing, limitless Bosphorus view! Breakfast is really various and delicious. But somehow they picked unexperienced staff that u can see everywhere, restaurant, reception etc. Probably as a local management property, they pay less then average to employees(i am in the same business). İf you want an... More

For an overnight stay, just about 16 hours. Nice clean room with a clean toilet. good internet speed. Lovely view from the skyview restaurant. Helpful staff. Breakfast really good. Negatives : Rooms facing the road are noisy. No iron or ironing board available in the hotel, laundry timings are limited.

Boutique Hotel next to Taksim square. Wonderful view from all upper rooms over the bosporus. terrace is stunning! Friendly people, also willing to do some extra service, longer opening of terace when you are there with a group. Rich turkish buffet, excellent international food on terrace - little bit expensive. Corner suite is nice, the bathroom is a misconstruction because... More

We arrived at 0230 using a hotel arranged transfer from the airport. At that hour of morning there was no traffic so it took less than half an hour to reach the hotel. Check-in was quick and easy, our bags taken to the room by staff and the room amenities pointed out to us. We didn't sleep well as the... More

The hotel is very nice. White, modern room with the view on the Bosphorus with a huge terrace and garden. Delicious breakfasts, elegant restaurant with panoramic views, delicious lamb, excellent service. What I disliked was the shower, every time after a shower the whole floor flush with water. The hotel is on the hill, down the hill 10 minutes and... More

We stayed at the Opera Hotel from July 14th to 19th. We had a deluxe double Bosphorus view room ( room 602 ). The room was a good size and was nicely decorated in a minimal brown-beige-white contemporary style and because the hotel is built on the side of a hill, we had a fantastic view of the Bosphorus straits,... Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
