This Hotel has a great location and very friendly staff except the receptionist named (Hakan Atay) which is very rood and an respective, I will not go to this hotel again because of him, the breack fast is not bad but you don't have many choices, the problem was that you don't feel clean even when they change the towels,... Stayed in the Sorriso Hotel in May, great location, bustling street, nice staff, good food. Enjoyed our stay in Istanbul, walked most places from hotel. Bosporus trip and Grand Bazaar highlights, take the public ferry, best value.

Me and my family went for the easter break to Istanbul. We loved our stay at the Sorisso Hotel. Great location near the metro tram station and all the tourism attractions. With Granny, this was the perfect spot to stay. Rooms are neat and value for money. Tipical Eupropean breakfast, with a wide variety to choose from. The staff members... More

We stayed here 4 nights during Easter and we were satisfied with our stay. The room was clean and nice, but it wasn't worth 4 stars. However, the room definitely was worth its price. The breakfast was really good and there was a wide selection of breakfast items to choose from, including fresh fruits. The location of the hotel is... More

We went on an organised trip to Istanbul and were accommodated in the Sorriso. it was a good choice and we really enjoyed our stay. It isn't really a 4 star hotel as we would expect- with a small foyer and limited facilities but it had everything we wanted. The rooms were pleasant (although the walls are thin and you... More

Our stay was amazing . Hotel was nice and clean. Breakfast was amazing. This is the best possible location you can get. It is very close to Grand bazar, Hagia sofia museum , blue mosque etc. We used to walk to all of those attractions.

Great hotel in the old town center, very close to the grand bazaar, tram stop is right in front of the hotel. When we were about to check-in there was electricity black out lasting almost all afternoon, but hotel receptionist gave us welcome drink, map and tip what to see. Room was clean as well as bathroom. Breakfast was also... More

As a retired couple we had always had Istanbul on our must see list. An opportunity arose recently (October) to take an organized 5day tour from Dublin. We found the whole trip very memorable and enjoyable. A lot was down to our small compatible group and the very well organized itinerary. In Istanbul it is important to stay in a... More

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
