Decent hotel in a good location. Definitely not four star as they claim. The room we stayed in was a bit small but the stay itself was pleasant. Hagia sophia, Blue mosque, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi palace, Grand bazar, Spice market are all within a 20min walk from the hotel. Lots of restaurants and dining options available in the area. I am going to preface this review by saying that I can't comment on value for price because we won our stay in Istanbul, so that alone made this hotel amazing. However, objectively, this was simply a decent hotel. Small but modern and well appointed rooms - the beds were a bit hard for my liking, but were fine. The... More

We booked the room for 3 people for 6 nights, when we got there our room was not ready and it was 7am, we were tired from our flights and hungry and were made to wait for nearly an hour before our room was ready, and we had asked for a triple single room, but they gave us a double... More

The Sorriso is a good hotel which provided all the amenities expected of a decent hotel. Although it markets itself as a 4 star property, I firmly believe its a 3 star property in comparison to other 4 star hotels I've stayed in worldwide. The rooms are neat, clean and fairly well appointed but are on the tiny side. Washrooms... More

This Hotel has a great location and very friendly staff except the receptionist named (Hakan Atay) which is very rood and an respective, I will not go to this hotel again because of him, the breack fast is not bad but you don't have many choices, the problem was that you don't feel clean even when they change the towels,... Stayed in the Sorriso Hotel in May, great location, bustling street, nice staff, good food. Enjoyed our stay in Istanbul, walked most places from hotel. Bosporus trip and Grand Bazaar highlights, take the public ferry, best value.

Me and my family went for the easter break to Istanbul. We loved our stay at the Sorisso Hotel. Great location near the metro tram station and all the tourism attractions. With Granny, this was the perfect spot to stay. Rooms are neat and value for money. Tipical Eupropean breakfast, with a wide variety to choose from. The staff members... More

We stayed here 4 nights during Easter and we were satisfied with our stay. The room was clean and nice, but it wasn't worth 4 stars. However, the room definitely was worth its price. The breakfast was really good and there was a wide selection of breakfast items to choose from, including fresh fruits. The location of the hotel is... More

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
