I stayed here for five days while in Istanbul. Perfectly located a nice walking distance for Taksim Square- the center of the center of Istanbul. This place was by far the best of my trip with its comfortable bed, cozy and neat room with elegant balcony. I loved their kitchen with any facility you need; and amazingly furnished and decorated... Me and my parents stayed here in twice different opportunities. Both were really good. Besides the regular shared rooms, the green house also have group/family rooms with several beds and also with more than one room (like an the apartment). The Internet is good, the hostel is well located just above Taksin square, just beside a small market and goods... More

This hostel is one of my favourites in Europe! The staff there are awesome and as there was a large number of deaf people staying in the hostel as well, so the staff tried their best to make sure we were comfortable and to their credit, there were no communication breakdowns. I would highly recommend this for your first visit... More

The real meal deal of old Istanbul! i had booked for 5 nights and ended up staying another 3. Talat, the proprietor, will do everything to make you feel welcome and to look after your personal needs. For example, when the tour bus that he booked for me was 2 hours late returning due to holiday weekend traffic, he was... More

Cosy atmosphere in old european style of early XX centuries, resembles Prague ore Barselona, super location, clean, value for money. Nearby Taksim metro (subway) station and Havatas bus station. We spend one night on our way to Cyprus (stop and go).

The very friendly staff make you feel at home and in a very cosy atmosphere. The location is very good, very close to the Taksim square, from where you can take any means of transportation to get to the very touristic places. Lovely restaurants and cafes in the same street. Ideal for backpackers, as well.

I only stayed here for one night but definitely had a great impression about the place. I stayed in a family room with 2 bunk beds. The bathroom was tiny but we managed. It's very close to the drop-off point from the airport, near Taksim square. The staff was honest, helpful and kind and breakfast was good.

Staying in Sisli

Neighborhood Profile
Sisli
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.
